21.01.2022 Another great learning idea using rainbow pebbles from @findthelittlemind "Colorful Line Match #repost .... Loose parts and color matching are a firm favorite for 2 yr old baby sis. It can be as simple as drawing some lines and shapes in different colors and challenging her to line up the loose parts and match the colors. . It’s such a simple invitation but it prompts so many great skills. Her fine motor skills worked hard to manipulate the rainbow pebbles into position. She had to carefully observe and match colors. She also started to explore mathematical language around sizes as the pebbles have four different sizes for each color. There was also some key vocabulary for the shapes and types of lines . I always encourage her to then explore making her own lines and shapes after which I try to match with the loose parts. It helps to extend the learning and shares the play which I always love " See more
