At Hatrick we support our clients to unearth their core beliefs, values and purpose which then guide their priorities, goals and actions for the next little while - we love doing this so much that we just underwent the same process for our business. 19.01.2022 Like so many I have been grappling with what to say, if anything, about the events taking place in the US right now. Whilst I am not qualified to speak as I have not experienced entrenched prejudices in my life, I feel that if I dont speak up, then I am in someway standing by, condoning what has and is happening. Perhaps this is a time for asking questions. Why is this happening? What has led us here? How can we move forward? Can hope guide us? Perhaps we can each ask o...urselves Am I aware of what racism is - what it looks like - how it sounds? And ask is there really any situation where racism is acceptable? Have you ever given any thought to where racism stems from? Is it connected to the backstories of people or does it stem from fear? Historically there have been people, communities, armies who have felt superior over others due to the color of their skin - and I think this is the thing I struggle with most - how can any one person believe they are more important, more worthy, more valid than another because of the skin they are born into? I dont have all the answers but I do know that ALL lives matter. I know that every person deserves fairness and equality. And I believe fiercely that kindness and courage are the greatest tools we have to create a peaceful, joyful existence. #gracegratitudegenerosity #bettertogether

10.01.2022 We have had the great honour of playing a small role in this social artist-in-residence project at Manningham Council from conception to exhibition. It is a perfect example of co-creation and co-design; embracing partnership and collaboration. The end result was drastically different from the original concept because together, artists, Council staff and participants tapped in to and followed the energy and interest that emerged during their time together. Such a beautiful journey taken by students and their parents, all recent immigrants to Australia. Far Flung: Connecting Intergenerational Families is exhibiting at the Manningham Art Gallery through Saturday 14 December. Its worth the trip.
