23.01.2022 Hi everyone. I'm sorry to have to inform all members that our March race meet has been cancelled due to the CMC Music festival. The whole facility is being used from the 16th till the 22nd. Unfortunately council overlooked letting us know until today so I apologize for the late notice. As the track is being used also on the 29 th of March for a another event it rules out rescheduling for another day. So March won't be happening unfortunately. We will see everyone for our meet on the 26th April. Sorry about the disappointment of the situation but there is nothing that can be done to change the outcome. It is what it is. See you all in April.

22.01.2022 Hi everyone. We have an update on our recently cancelled race day for March 22nd. It was publically announced late yesterday afternoon that due to Health concerns the CMC musical festival will be postponed till further in the year, which leaves our race venue vacant on that day. As it was too late in the afternoon to contact Ipswich Council to confirm availability of the track we cant fly a definate green flag for racing but it looks to me to be very very possible..... but without council approval i cant say a definate yes.....i will ring them first tbing Monday morning..... but please be aware and be prepared that we will probably be ok to race next Sunday 22nd March.....so people " WATCH THIS SPACE " also " FINGERS AND TOES CROSSED ". Talk soon....

20.01.2022 Hi everyone. Well I havent got good news about racing this Sunday. March is definately not happening.. There has been damage to the track from activity on the track and unfortunately it will not be repaired in time to race this weekend. This is disappointing but out of our control. 20.01.2022 It's Race weekend, how good is that. When you enter the track Sunday we will have some lovely club members at the front gate to scan your Q.R. Code and take your temperature so have your phones ready. Remember Sign on and Scrutineering from 7.30 am and Drivers Briefing at 8.15 am. See you all Sunday : Stephen.
20.01.2022 UPDATE FOR RACING SUNDAY 26th July. Hi everyone, well the count down is on, i think everyone would agree Sunday cant come quick enough. The committee are needing to remind members of the restrictions that are still in place and will be enforced as by the Queensland government guide lines. 1. 100 people maxium per outside event. Which unfortunately we will be keeping numbers and as soon as our 100 is reached the gates will be shut. So as we want everyone to be included we n...eed to ensure that only drivers are to attend, unfortunately spectators use up our driving spaces. In the case of junior drivers only one supervising adult if possible. Our main aim is to not turn away drivers due to numbers. 2. Committee members will visit each allocated site to register and collect money so as to keep a safe social distancing. Please endeavour to have correct money to pay for racing if possible. Bringing your own pen for sign on would be encouraged. 3. Canteen will be open. 4. Scutineering will begin at 8 am. I think by now everyone is aware of Safe practices which must be abided by so as to keep us all safe and to keep Queensland up and running. The last 5 months have been difficult so we all need to work together to keep everyone moving forward and over come Covid19. See you's all there so looking forward to a successful and fun day of racing.
20.01.2022 Kart racing started over 60 years ago and although today's Karts are very sophisticated they are still just a steel frame holding a seat and engine on 4 wheels. Post below some photos or memories of your early kart racing to share with the club members. We might just get to know just how old some of us are. I would love to see some memories of the old Hattonvale track. Stephen.
19.01.2022 Hi everyone just a heads up....the track is ready and no sign of rain so we are definitely racing today which is awesome news. Thankyou to the Ipswich club who has worked hard to prepare the track for today. See you all out there for an awesome fun day of racing on this beautiful Australia Day.
17.01.2022 Hi everyone. Well what a year it has been , cant believe its November already and were about to finish for the year.... this Sunday 22nd November will be our final race day for this turbulent year .... unfortunately because of the effects Covid 19 has had on us as a club we are unable to have our traditional xmas breakup luncheon but we will be having our normal full raceday. Our annual AGM will be held during our lunch time break, all committee positions will be available for nominations and voted on. The weather forecast is looking awesome so lets put 2020 behind us by having a great day of racing. The canteen will be open as usual for all your favourite lunch options. So looking forward to seeing everyone there.
15.01.2022 Hi everyone. Unfortunately due to the amount of rain we have already had in Ipswich and with more heavy falls for tonight and tomorrow predicted. We have unfortunately been forced by nature to cancell tomorrows racing. Faced with the fact of how desperately we need the rain and the fact of how disappointing 2020 race calendar has been affected its very disappointing but no one has controll over the weather. We will see everyone for our final race day for the year on 22nd of November. See everybody then.

13.01.2022 Great news!!!!! Sunday is definitely on, we've had a few hurdles to jump though this week but we finally have been given the all clear to race. A huge thank you to the Ipswich City Council for going above and beyond to get all our documents and permits finalized in a very limited time frame. Also a huge thanks must go to Ipswich City Dirt Kart Club who surrendered their Club day so as we could finally race and even at this moment is working on prepping the track for us to u...se on Sunday. A few things in regards to Sunday we need everyone there by 8 am if possible as there is a lot of Covid 19 discussions to go over, please bring your own pen and the right amount of cash so as little handling as possible is involved. We just ask everyone to be patient as a lot of safety measures must be in place so for us to race. Canteen will be operational with all of the usual food items available. We are all pumped to finally get back to racing and see everyone have an awesome day. hope to see everyone eager to go on Sunday 4th October. See more

12.01.2022 A New Year, so some much needed Kart preparation was done today. Kart # 8 needed a couple of rear tyres and a new throttle cable, Kart # 42 needed a oil leak fixing and a repair to the chain guard. How is everyone going with your preparation for the 24th January meeting, done in December or waiting for the day before our first race date ? Stephen.
12.01.2022 Hi everyone as I posted earlier in the week our race day is on this Sunday 25 th October. Just letting everyone know the restrictions on numbers attending has been extended so we're not limited to strictly drivers.... This means you can now bring your family members and other spectators along to enjoy and watch the racing. Everyone should be very aware of the Strict Covid 19 rules by now so these are to be still followed ... staying in your own areas, staying 1.5 metres apart at all times, washing of hands , if anyone is feeling unwell they are to stay home, no sharing of helmets or other personal gear... This is great news and I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone out and enjoying the day. See everyone one on Sunday.

10.01.2022 A big hello to all our members.....well the day has finally come that as a club we have been given the Green light to start back Racing.... yahhhhhh Our race date is 26th July 2020 and havent we all been hanging out for this to happen. We have been in contact with Ipswich City Council and we have been given a strict run down on what our responsibilities will be moving forward in to stage 3 of lifted restrictions. The main big factors we have been instructed on is Cleanline...ss and washing of hands, 1.5 distancing rule in all parts of the track and amenities, strictly only 100 people to be in attendance and of cause if you are feeling unwell please do not attend.Im sure by now all of us will be very aware of our social responsibilities by keeping every body safe and healthy. Queensland has come too far to become complacent and neglect our responsibilities. Canteen will be operating so please be parient when signing in or ordering food as there are some extra precautions in place in these areas. A full briefing will take place before racing to educate and reenforce the health rules. Looking forward to everyone getting back to racing and getting back some form of normal. 08.01.2022 Hi Everyone Just a quick note about our next meeting The next meeting is on the 25th April Anzac Day I was informed today by the govt sport and recreation dept that if we do race we can not ... start till 1.00pm So we have a decision to make I have checked and both weekends either side are booked out by schools and scouts So our option is to cancell or race from 1.00 till about 5.00 depends on the sun light For half the normal price If we do cancell we won’t race till next month So I need your feed back to help the committee decide what to do Give us your answers on this post Thank you for your help Stay safe Garry See more

07.01.2022 Hi everyone, we have good and bad news to report. Firstly the good news is Ipswich City Council has finally finished the drainage upgrade. The bad news is The Ipswich City Kart Club won't have the track repaired in time for Sunday's racing. We are at the moment in negotiations to secure another weekend. This year has been totally unbelievable and lady luck has not been kind to us. As soon as we finish negotiating we will let you know. Not much can be said about another month of no racing but roll on 2021.... Will keep you updated.

04.01.2022 Hey Team, due to the enormous amount of rain we have received over the last week and subsequent damage to the racing surface and pit area we have no choice but to cancel this weekend's race meeting. Unfortunately our rain date of the next weekend can not be used as it is the Easter long weekend, so we will see you all back on track next month 25th April for our next speed around at the World's best value for $ Motorsport. Please let any members or friends not on Facebook know as soon as possible. Sorry Stephen.
04.01.2022 As advised in our previous post racing is a go for 26th July, now as we can only have 100 people in the event area we're asking for drivers only to attend and no spectators at this present point in time. We are aware that there are some Junior racers thats parents dont race so where possible could only one parent attend .... i know this is very disappointing to the spectators in that enjoy the outing and have a fun family day, but until the numbers are raised we dont want to turn away drivers. Unfortunately if we do reach the 100 attendance restiction we will be forced to turn away non-member drivers first. As a club we would all dearly love to have drivers, families and spectators attending but this deadly virus is still a huge threat and we can not become complacent in our fight to keep it at bay.....

01.01.2022 Hi everyone as you know that we have our first race day this Sunday 26th January... As you may have noticed the Weather forecast for the weekend is indicating that we will receive quiet heavy rain fall over the weekend. Just be aware that we are keeping out fingers crossed for a fine Sunday and are planning on racing but if the forecast is correct we may be forced to cancel. Although we desperately need the rain we also are hopeing for sunshine for just this weekend. Lol...
