I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday. But mostly I wish you time with family and loved ones. .... 18.01.2022 Do you crave space? Think how are you furnishing your space and using colour? These simple suggestions can help. When furnishing, lift furniture off the ground. Don’t place heavy solid pieces in the centre of a space. Choose legs with pieces and see through pieces. They give the illusion of depth. Floors are lengthened as space is seen behind the furniture. ... Colour plays big roles in home spaces. It can draw furniture towards you or give depth to spaces. Keeping monochromatic rooms only (ie all white tones), doesn’t help open a space. Colour always assists spatial layouts. Two of my favourite topics... this beautiful image is a great example showing depth and length, whilst still displaying a room fill of retro furniture. 15.01.2022 Clean open kitchen shelf design, uncluttered, can be practical in small spaces. Light coloured walls highlights colour. Here an ochre colour scheme brings minimal and natural depth indoors. The few timber, jars, bowls and plants in range of sizes, are balanced yet asymmetric. My favourite balance! These shelves raise your eyes, utilising often empty space within a room. Drawing your vision to the simple chrome pendant light sitting symmetrically with the sink. Would it had be...en seen without the shelves? Possibly not. Yes it’s styled.
