25.01.2022 News Update our committee has a new name "Victims Of Construction Action Lobby Group". ( V.O.C.A.L ) (soon to be Incorporated) Many meetings have taken place over the last few months with strategic plans and goals to try and help the Victims of the very flawed compulsive home warranty insurance from the QBCC.... We will be getting a regular news letter out to members and I ask that you keep sharing my page to inform anyone who is a victim to fill in our survey, or contact myself via message. 23.01.2022 Funny how the media do a little story now an again but nothing ever happens for us the victims. Qbcc are still getting away with not helping and come up with excuse after excuse. And easy fix to seeing subcontractors paid is the home owner pays each invoice directly to each company involved in the build. I think she should be more concern with the mum & dad voters whom have lost everything believing Qbcc home warranty insurance will protect us against dodgy builders. That Qcat is a joke, as the supreme court is also a joke if your case gets that far.

16.01.2022 Whilst the Govt is busy marketing pre election, spamming the public, calling your mobile asking you to participate in a survey...the public are still being ripp...ed off, denied, and unfairly dismissed and then judged by the system that is written to protect the coffers of govt and their cronie mates For fuck sake we have already told you what we want, just do it. Build a regulatory system in the domestic building market for the people, the people who pay their taxes and keep this country moving. The people who keep your arses in the cushy jobs. How many of you are still waiting to have your homes finished, stolen money returned, or perhaps even an acknowledgement from the QBCC. I am infuriated by the farcical system in place, there is NO JUSTICE for the aggrieved, only protection for the perpetrators and the Regulators. An insurance policy in your name that you dont own, have no choice in purchasing and have no rights to. An insurance policy that is NOT regulated like all other insurance policies. A contract you have to sign, which you have no choice in choosing, which is written to protect the trades, a contract which is NOT upheld in the true sense of the legislative word if challenged. Fucking Bollocks #Anastasia Palaszczuk #Mick De Brenni #Rob Schwarten who stood down and self reported to QLD Crime and Corruption Commission so he can get a slap on the wrist whilst the general public get reemed by the QBCC and the trades people. I can only assume the reason for this, is to stop the truth getting registered and calculated data been collected on a large scale. This post is not spam no difference to the members of parliament sending us letters, phoning, or placing adds all over the place to get votes. Shame on who ever is trying to boycott this survey. 14.01.2022 Ive been ripped off by a dodgy plumber in the southwest suburbs of Sydney, who doesnt have an abn or license number published anywhere... just a fake website ...thats always under construction and an office number that actually diverts you to his mobile. he ripped me off and buggered a job and then became uncontactable. the business name is southwest plumbing. he has multiple ads under different suburbs and when you leave a negative review on Google he deletes the ad and puts up a new one under a different suburb. He will not reply to my messages or anything. Beware of southwest plumbing. They arent a real business and photos of them on google arent really them!! See more

We, like others lost our case at Qcat and the Supreme Court. 05.01.2022 Written by Rod Cedaro BSA as it was back then and the QBCC are both a waste of space. We have pursued Daniel J Smith - a "builder" for lack of a better term - for over a decade now. Initially we played via the rules and went via the BSA - after six months wed achieved nothing with them. So ramped it up and went to the media and took the then minister in charge of the BSA to task - lo and behold within a couple of days the BSA moved on DJ Smith Construction Pty. Ltd. and he w...as wound up and banned from holding a building licence for 6 years. Six years later he was back as the RICC Group, chased him down again and he was up to his old tricks - defective works, financial non-compliance (i.e. Ripping off clients, suppliers, tradies, etc.), he went down again. Then he was back as 24/7 Building and Maintenance - wound up again - this time with ASIC and the ATO getting involved. Now this pile of human excrement is working for Build 4U Brisbane - see: http://www.b4ubris.com/ - spread the word, the multiple bankrupt and dodgy builder Daniel J Smith is not to be trusted, do a Google search on any of the above names to find out more. In regards to the BSA and QBCC - they just sit back and do nothing to remove him from the industry. We were part of the ministerial inquiry into the then BSA - unless, they had the evidence and did nothing. Last I heard there was to be a class action against the BSA/QBCC. 01.01.2022 By Rod Cedaro An update on multiple failed builder, Daniel J Smith (formerly of DJ Smith Construction Pty. Ltd., then The RICC Group and then 24/7 Building and Maintenance and most recently working as a site manager for Build 4U Brisbane). In April/May 2019, Smith was (a) bankrupted (again first time in 2010 and again now) and (b) has been reported to the Dutton Park Police and is under investigation and facing fraud charges bought against him by his former accountant (J...ames Whitelaw - see following). Dans wife (Sasha Smith) is being dragged into court on the 27/6/2019 and again on 15/7/2019 and being compelled by the courts to release their company books. Dan Smith installed Sasha Smith as the director of 24/7 Building and Maintenance (because he was no longer allowed to be a "person of influence" in a building company as decreed by the QBCC, ASIC and the ATO - because hes a bankrupt), naturally 24/7 went belly up and Sasha (as the director) is being held liable. Any debtors out there still seeking compensation for Daniel J or Sasha Smith under any of the guises I have listed above, should contact: Brendan Nixon SM Solvency Accountants Ph: 1300434165 and/or James Whitelaw at: [email protected] and provide proof of any outstanding debts owing them by either of the aforementioned (Dan or Sasha) so that they can be pursued accordingly for any outstanding debts.
