22.01.2022 For all you Mummas with teenage boys... (Or any male you know that might need a nudge in the right direction) Looking after your skin is not just for girls and it only take a few minutes in the shower. Heres a few tips from the class I held on How to care for your skin 1. Using a pea size amount of cleanser onto palm, foam it up. Cleanse face morning & night in the shower. Too much product is just a waste. ... 2. Exfoliate once a week in the shower, with a gentle scrub. Small circular motions, concentrating on areas like chin, nose & forehead. If you have breakouts go VERY gently. 3. Moisturise face after your shower + SUNSCREEN in the morning. 4. A few drops of tea-tree oil mixed with coconut oil or aloe vera (from the plant) makes a great pimple fighter - its antibacterial & anti inflammatory - apply with a cotton tip. Leave for 20 mins and rinse off. 5. Change your pillowcase once a week 6. Your skin will show what you eat & drink - be conscious of what you put into your body & drink more water! BullDog Skincare is a great price point about $10 each for cleanser, moisturiser & exfoliant. If your boys only use a pea size amount of cleanser, 10c piece to exfoliate and a 5c piece size to moisturise- these products should last around 6 months each. 20.01.2022 What a fantastic 2 days at the Glen Innes High School teaching the grade 10 students about caring for their skin. Safe to say these boys and I had a great time today and hopefully they learnt something as well.
