18.01.2022 Everyone has a story to tell, and in the lead up to the International Day of People with Disability on December 3, the ABC want you to tell your stories of life with a disability. To be eligible you must live in Australia, be over 18, have a disability and be available to work on your article in October/November. You do not need to have previous writing experience. you to pitch an ideas for a digital article about disability it can be about anything, as long as it's non-fiction and your original idea. They have released an issues paper about emergency planning and response. They’re asking for submissions about this before 17 July. 02.01.2022 Empowered Lives is a group of over 40 Victorian disability advocacy organisations working together to create change, Empowered Lives is worried about how the coronavirus affects people with disability. Empowered Lives have learned that people with disabilities have more chance of getting very sick from the coronavirus. Empowered Lives wants the government to talk with and listen to people with disability, their families and carers about ideas to make things better.... They have put together a statement for the Government to read and take action.
