10.01.2022 Meet Kylie! Kylie is the local walker for Hawaiians Melville taking part in the Hawaiian Womens Cancer Challenge this September. Kylie and many others will be walking 35km over 7 days, representing the 1 in 7 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in our community. By walking, Kylie is supporting the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and raising much needed funds for womens cancer research. The following will be observed throughout the centre during Quiet Hour:... - Turning off lights where suitable - Signage to indicate Quiet Hour to shopping patrons - Turning off in-centre music - The offer of sensory headphone kits for complimentary hire at the Guest Services Desk The pilot program was developed in consultation with the City of Melville and Alzheimers WA, following a deepening commitment from Hawaiian to provide better age-friendly services, and support those with health concerns that might make a regular shopping experience difficult.
