24.01.2022 Popped down to Victoria quickly to knock out this single storey. In and out in a day. Frame #90

24.01.2022 Well this absolute monster at Murrurundi is just about finished. This 1000 plus sq/m frame was installed in 24 days. Featuring 6300mm walls and steel posts. 47 steel post, firewalls throughout, 82 rooms, parapets everywhere and very limited external acsess. Add in that we were not allowed in the roof space and all roof work had to be done from the scissor lift. This job fought hard from the get go. Strict formans, useless crane companies, slow gyprockers and a slab that was 38mm out. As Usual @hawes_constructions got the job done and had a total of 13 defects from the whole job. @hyteksteelframing supplied and unreal and perfect frame and were an absolute pleasure to work with. We will be heading up to Qld in a few weeks to start the next one. #steelframekings

19.01.2022 Eave framing, cladding prep, box gutters all underway at our annagrove job. Every time I jump on the roof I’m still amazed of the size of this house. Keen to install the @jameshardieau easytex panel cladding in the next week or so.

19.01.2022 I just want to say a massive Thank you to our whole team and there families for putting up with the huge hours we do. We work constant 60 to 70 hour weeks and they don’t whinge once. We left quipolly at 3:30am Saturday morning, drive all the way home and worked all day Saturday, then all day today and now we have the 5 hour drive back up to Quipolly. Then straight back into another huge week up there. Our biggest stand in a day ever. 16.01.2022 I take a lot of pride in my setups. Some of them maybe old but they are kept in the best condition possible. I’m in the truck today as one of the boys is sick and I come across this. Now im 99% sure that whoever was driving this would nearly have a broken neck as they’ve hit something that hard with the planks and bent all the racks. These were brand new racks when I bought the truck. Weather this was a past or present employee I find it pretty fucking shit house that I wasn’t told. Anyone else gotta put up with this shit?

14.01.2022 The picture that speaks 1000 words. I posted this a month ago and was asked to take it down as I tagged the builder in it. So this time I won't tag the builder. This builder took 10% off all purchase orders due to covid. They called it 'covid hardship tax' Then 13 bricklayers turn up to start working whilst myself and 3 of our team plus the plumber were there. Then on top of this, the supervisor plus the family of 4 who owned it were onsite. A total of 22 people during covid... on a site so small you'd be lucky to fit 10 people. I asked the supervisor to send the bricklayers as they were not booked into the following day. He left site and didn't say a word. I made the decision to pack up and leave site. The funny thing is the bricklayer told me they were all related . This was the 1st and last job we will be doing for this builder. Moral of the storey. Don't work for Dickhead's. See more

12.01.2022 What an absolute banger of an arfternoon. Finnally after a few days of standing, packing 28mm plus and nailing and screwing down we are ready to straighten and start on the roof. Truck and navara are filthy. Didn’t help that @joeldivertie got my navara bogged at the farm

08.01.2022 Murrurundi turning it on this arfternoon. We are building the new Murrurundi hospital for @hyteksteelframing and it is coming up unreal. Over 1000 sq/m of frames. 26mm firewalls between most walls. A lot of detail and a lot of fun to build.
