18.01.2022 Hi all. As you are probably aware, we have our School Banking, 1st birthday celebrations this coming Thursday during the assembly. We will be cutting a birthday cake and all the kids will be getting a cupcake for morning tea. We were hoping to have a Dollarmite character present at the assembly to add to the excitement but unfortunately there is nobody from the bank available to jump into the costume for us. We do, however, have the costume in our possession. Kylie and I wer...e wondering if there were any of you prepared to wear the costume during the assembly and while we travel from class to class delivering the cupcakes. Your real identity will be protected we promise so you can be as silly as you like. If you or anyone you know is available on Thursday morning to help us out please let us know. Cheers Leanne

08.01.2022 This is just a little reminder about the busy bee that is planned for this coming Sunday (5th July) 10.00am -12.00 at the BFG to dig a frog pond. If anyone is interested and has a little bit of muscle to offer that would be fabulous. Our wonderful Rose will be coordinating it along with school parent Aideen who has been working tirelessly in her own time on the BFG. For those that are not familiar the BFG is located just beyond the school library near the school oval and b...asketball courts. Feel free to bring along some morning tea to share...

06.01.2022 The BFG is looking amazing. All the hard work put in by the kids towards the end of term one is paying off, we have FOOD! Please let your EcoAvengers know how great it is looking, they have done such a great job. Aideen

04.01.2022 Hi parents, A few reminders: The year 4/5 assembly is this Thursday, 13th August at 8.30am please sign up for our school newsletter on the new website asap... please log in to gain access to photos and news from our class please return your child's SMARTS day preferences asap so that they can get into the groups they most prefer (it is first come: first serve) *I think that the students will need to bring a morning tea snack on that day as there is a 20 minute break in the morning only (no time to gather for fruit) please return your permission slip for the SCSA speaking activity which is being filmed this Friday Athletics Carnival is Thursday, 3rd September. PP students participate in a running race and 2 or 3 team events which we are currently learning. Please ensure your child is wearing shoes suitable for sports in these weeks I have attached the factions for each child. Students in PP are in a faction but as this is their introduction to the Athletics Carnival, we do not score their participation Great news! Our funding for the dry creek bed had dried up (!) but I have managed to secure a huge load of rocks which have been donated and delivered to the school for free! I have rescheduled the Working Bee for Saturday, 22nd August at 1pm. This is to commence construction of the dry creek bed (i.e. manhandle the rocks into position) and plant our four trees which are desperate to be moved to Hawker Park! The Reading Readiness parent workshop is rescheduled for Wednesday, 2nd September at 7pm The How Children Learn to Read parent workshop is rescheduled for Wednesday, 9th September at 7pm. I encourage you all to come to this one as we are commencing take home reading books shortly and it is important that you have information regarding the process of learning to read in order to support your child. And finally, in Geography, we have been exploring the birth places (countries) of our students and will be adding the birthplaces of all their parents to a map and table on Thursday. Their homework is to ask you where you were born (just a heads up!). Enjoy your evening, Denise
