22.01.2022 A Facebook community forum will be hosted by police based in the far north of South Australia tomorrow night and they are asking everyone in the local communi...ty to take part. The policing district we call the Far North Local Service Area (LSA) encompasses the Port Augusta, Flinders Ranges and Northern Outback areas of South Australia. The area’s major 24-hour patrol base is located in Port Augusta while other regional cluster headquarters are located at Coober Pedy, Leigh Creek, Roxby Downs and Umuwa. There are smaller stations and patrol bases at Andamooka, Hawker, Marla, Marree, Oodnadatta, Quorn, Woomera and on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. The LSA covers about 670,000 square kilometres - about 73 per cent of the state! And tomorrow the police in this area are asking their community to get in touch with any questions they have about policing, law&order or safety. The Facebook forum will run on the SA Police News page from 6.30pm to 7.30pm tomorrow night (Tuesday 10 October). Remember, you don’t have to ‘Like’ the SA Police News Page to join the forum; you just need an active Facebook account. So spread the word and stop by and see us tomorrow if you call the 'far north' home! See more
