Following the traditional recipe, we packed all the flavoursome in our seafood-based curry laksa paste, everything was made from primary ingredients in our kitchen, cooking for hours to reduce, extract the fragrance and richness. Adding the coconut milk to further balance out the spicness and enhance the texture. We serve the laksa soup with prawns, shredded chicken, fish ball, and tofu, choice of a variety of noodles from the authenti...c thick rice noodles, yellow Hokkien noodles, rice vermicelli, or a mix noodles. 21.01.2022 Lunch special $6.90 chicken rice, a range of pre-packed economy takeaway for $5.50 per box, 2 for $10 only!!!!!! Its a frustrating time for not only the hospitality industry but for everyone. However, Melody was confronted today for selling the chicken rice SO CHEAP!!! ... Chicken Rice special is indeed our tradition... It has always been our lunch special for years. When we took over the business from the previous owner in September last year, it was $6.00 only. Michael decided to change the food supplier for the best quality available, and he picks up the fresh chicken from the supplier everyday. Although the food cost keeps increasing, we keep this tradition for our long-time customers coming for chicken rice regularly and we slightly increased the price to $6.90 for steamed chicken (1/4 chicken) rice just to cover the cost. Regardlessly, the chicken rice special is still on from 11:00am-3:00pm on weekdays, and now even extends to Saturday due to the circumstance we all facing now. On the other hand, we have been doing some pre-packed economy version (since no dine-in restriction) for our customers to pick, and its easy for them to just grab and go. Only $5.50 for a box and 2 for $10, a variety of hot foods, namely: Curry Chicken BBQ Pork Fried Rice Fried Hokkien Mee with mixed veggies Fried Mee Hoon with mixed veggies BBQ Chicken Wing Noodles Teriyaki Chicken Noodles And more Its a difficult time for everyone. We are only a family run café and now only allowed to do takeaway and delivery, with great support from our experience and lovely staff, we are in a survival mode and just manage to keep our door open. In the meantime, we just try to stay present in the market, keep our staff with jobs, serve our customers, but not make a profit. While in this quiet time, we dedicate to maintain our food standard, and we strive to bring up more delicious dishes where we are not able to do in our busy time. We sincerely thank our local community for your support! Our valued customers and friends traveling a long way to buy takeaway! Our staff for your effort during this difficult time! And, a special thanks to our family, my mum who is helping us unreservedly and making all fantastic pastry and bakery, and my kids for understanding us not being able to be with them as before! 05.01.2022 Thank you for coming to show your support! We are overwhelmed! A sincere apology to our customers for not accommodating your needs! We ran out of Hainanese Chicken this morning, and our kitchen could not replenish the pre-packed meals quickly enough, the clash with pre-packed meals replenishment, our kitchen takes longer to cook the orders. We are sorry! We sit down and have a reflection time to think about what we can do better to accommodate our customers. We hate letting ...our customers down. When we come back after the Easter break, we will pull ourselves together and serve you better. We will make some change as below: 1. Get more chicken from our supplier to secure the Hainanese Chicken for the lunch special. 2. We will stick to start the lunch special at 11:00 am and finish at 3:00 pm, for the sake of fairness to other customers. Pre-packed meals are available from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm. 3. We will have a small change in the kitchen arrangement for quicker replenishment of the pre-packed range. 4. Pre-packed meals are only available for pick up at the counter, and not available for pre-order and make to order. Hopefully, it will be fair to other customers and not putting extra pressure on our kitchen aunties. We are grateful to have your support! If there is anything we miss out and not doing up to our customer's expectations, please forgive and let us know. We are humbly listening!
