25.01.2022 I think one of the most challenging parts of all of this has been learning to let go of what it means to be productive. We're not living in the same world as just six months ago. Productivity looks different now than it did pre - CV19. I read an article this week about productivity during a crisis. And I guess that's when it dawned on me, it's just not humanely possible for us to navigate such huge emotional hurdles with such uncertainty, and still maintain a previous versio...n of productivity or high performance. It's just not! And that's ok. Maybe we will slowly return to a new normal and learn to coexist with this virus. Maybe the hustle and bustle will eventually return in society. But for now, we have accepted that productivity looks different for us. We can still achieve great things!

Our name appears as 'SEO for local businesses' because customers are likely to include the keyword SEO when searching for similar services. If you're a local service based business [like a builder, plumber, sparky or Chiropractor] then include those terms in your Name. Instead of repeating your Instagram handle or business name. Use location based hashtags and common area based hashtags to increase your reach and discoverability in areas that you serve. Users often follow hashtags, including the location they live in and will often search Instagram for products or services they're looking for in their location, or a location they intend to visit. Check out the hashtags we have used in the comments of this post over on instagram for some inspiration. Geotag your posts with the location you want to reach or the locations you serve [like we have done in this very post]. This is just another means of widening your reach. You can do this easily whether you post natively in Instagram or in your chosen scheduling tool. There ya go! I have also been going through the Shall We Social Instagram Unpacked online course, and oh my GAWWWWD my head is FULL of content ideas, not just for Instagram! 07.01.2022 TRUTH. "Growth is uncomfortable, because you've never been here before". Some time ago now, I [Bek] was listening to an artist speak at a conference I was at. This particular artist was talking about her experience with what she refers to as the "messy middle". She used the anaology of creating a peice of art from scratch. She alikened her sometimes frustrating experience of creating art to running a business. She explained the process of focusing on the minor details, an...d then stepping away to see the piece coming together and that uncomfortable stage where all of the paint on the canvas suddenly just looks like crap, it doesn't look like the origional vision. She starts to doubt herself as an artist, and wonders if it's worth continuing, or will that make it look worse. Maybe she should just start again. I remeber having such a light bulb moment at that time. Something that I have never really drawn parallels in, like creating a piece of art compared to running a business. But when I started to consider the similarities it felt quite liberating actually. I couldn't wait to come back home and share this learning with Mat. This lrevelation has stayed with me to this day. When things get messy / uncomfortable / confusing in business, I can now take a moment to step back and really look at the bigger picture. I can remind myself, that yes it all feels messy and uncomfortable, and it doesn't look anything like the masterpiece I had envisioned. But that's because I'm only just getting to the good bits. It's at this moment, that I need to dig deep and keep going. It's not the time to quit, or start again. It's the messy middle!! I just have to push through, to allow the beautiful master piece to eventually emerge somewhat evolved from the original vision. And I just think that applies to everything in life right now.
