02.01.2022 2020 WRAP UP! WE DID IT! OUR FIRST YEAR AS HAWKESBURY VALLEY PHYSIE! When our teachers opened our doors in February they had no idea of the pandemic which was to come and the challenges it was going to bring, BUT we made it work and wouldn’t have changed a thing! This year we have survived Zoom/FaceTime/Skype lessons, we have watched our little club grow into a family, watch girls who were strangers to each other in February get to know each other and support one another ...throughout the whole year, we watched our members set goals, learn from mistakes and achieve new personal bests, all while they were guided by our teachers, sharing their love of Physie Our teachers have learnt a different type of love for Physie, when they became teachers themselves, they learnt how much time and energy goes into every lesson and were even taught how to Tik Tok by 6 year olds We were lucky enough to have 8 Zone representatives, 4 State Finalists and 2 STATE GRAND FINALISTS in our first year! This year wouldn’t have been possible without our Teachers, our support network of volunteers, the mentors for our teachers and the EP Physie board who have answered multiple questions, given guidance and provided reassurance when needed! EP Physie were also the ONLY Physie to facilitate Interclub, Zone, State Finals, and State Grand Final competitions WITH spectators and live streaming ensuring that nobody missed out because of COVID-19 - You could say our board is pretty amazing at what they do! 2020 might not have gone exactly to plan but we wouldn’t change a single thing!
