24.01.2022 ******WORK RIGHTS GRANT******* We congratulate Navneet for the grant of Bridging Visa A with work rights. Navneet came to Australia as a visitor and applied for a student visa onshore. She was granted a bridging visa but without work rights. Her student visa got refused and she applied for a review of the decision with the Tribunal. Her bridging visa allowed her to stay back in Australia but she has been struggling to financially support herself since then.... With strong and convincing submissions, we have been successful in securing full work rights for her. We thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist in your immigration matter. 23.01.2022 Skilled & Business Migration would like to advise that following the first annual review, the Australian Government has agreed to significant changes to South Australia’s two Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMAs). DAMA Occupation List South Australia has secured a range of new occupations under the DAMAs with a focus on health care, manufacturing, high-tech sectors, agribusiness and food production. ... View the full DAMA Occupation List here. https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/occupa/dama-occupation-list Concessions and PR Pathways South Australia has secured additional English language and age concessions, which will now carry over to the permanent visa. The changes to work experience requirements for a number of occupations will make it easier for qualified international graduates to be eligible to apply. All DAMA occupations listed will now offer a permanent residency pathway either through the Temporary Skill Shortage visa or the Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional visa. Skills Assessing Authority The South Australian Government has been approved to act as a skills assessing authority for occupations that require a skills assessment that currently has no alternative skills assessment authority. This will allow previously ineligible occupations to now be available for skilled migration, ensuring workers filling those positions are appropriately skilled. Skilled & Business Migration remains committed to working with South Australian employers to ensure they are able to fill skills shortages in their businesses. For more information, please make an appointment with us. Hawks Immigration MARN:1574694

13.01.2022 ******GREAT NEWS FOR 485 FUTRE VISA HOLDERS******** The Australian Government has announced amended application requirements and visa criteria for the Subclass 485 (Temporary Graduate) visa, to assist international students, by allowing applications for this post-study visa to be made from outside Australia during a concession period. The amendments also allow the visa to be granted to an applicant who is outside Australia. Prior to this amendment, most applicants were req...uired to be in Australia to apply for the visa and to be granted the visa. The amendments provide former international students with the opportunity to obtain a visa to return to Australia when travel restrictions are lifted. The visa period will run from the date of entry to Australia. Students who are outside of Australia for up to 12 months can apply for a Temporary Graduate 485 visa. Subclass 485 visas will be granted to allow a period of stay in Australia which commences on the date of first entry, so there will be no disadvantage caused to visa holders if the travel restrictions remain in place for a further period. This is a big relief for students who are stranded outside of Australia. We thank the Australian Government for this. Please book a consultation session with us for further details. 09.01.2022 ******IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM IMMIGRATION SA********* The Government of South Australia has been advised of a limited number of interim allocation places for the State’s General Skilled and Business Migration program for 2020/21, which will be prioritised to support South Australia’s economic and public health recovery. The full nomination allocations for 2020/21 will be determined later in the year as part of the 2020/21 Budget process....
