25.01.2022 A window seat to fit into a full-height aluminium frame bay window. Built from solid pine frame with VJ lining boards. The unit is attached to the window frame with brackets at the back to allow removal if required. Changing the blinds completed the transformation of this space.

25.01.2022 This hand washing table was built for a Montessori educator, to allow young children to participate at their own height. The table has a rim is to keep the washbasin in place and handtowel rails on each side so that everything is within reach. https://www.haworthwoodworking.com.au/

21.01.2022 Ive recently updated my website with a portfolio of past projects. Feel free to check it out and pass it on to anyone who might be interested. Your support is greatly appreciated! https://www.haworthwoodworking.com.au/

20.01.2022 I created this bench seat for a client to use for her Pilates exercises. It was designed to match her existing decor: the frame is made from pine with a jarrah stain, and the top consists of a firm foam upholstered in a suede fabric. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

19.01.2022 I recently finished this 2.5m cross for Jubilee Primary School. It was custom-designed to represent the four faith traditions of the college and is made from recycled hardwood and sustainably sourced pine. The base is heavy to reduce the chance of toppling, and the cross can be disassembled to make it easier to carry and store.

19.01.2022 This keepsafe box was made for a client who wanted a special place to keep precious handcrafted items. It was made from Tasmanian Oak, stained to give a warmer tone and finished with shellac. https://www.haworthwoodworking.com.au/

17.01.2022 I was recently commissioned to make several items for Jubilee Primary School, Pacific Pines. The small crosses are miniature versions of the large 2.5m cross that I made previously, and are designed for use on tables and altars. The candle holder features an inlay version of the cross design and was designed to hold the large school candle (not pictured). All items are made from recycled timbers. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

17.01.2022 A client recently acquired this pew and wanted it to be repaired. It had been crudely cut to size and left out in the weather. I made a new side to match the existing and refinished the entire piece. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

15.01.2022 I also do repairs - this hardwood table developed a gap along one of the joins which needed to be re-glued. The finish had yellowed over time (inevitable with most finishes) so the only option after regluing was to remove the old finish and then refinish the whole table. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

14.01.2022 A client of mine had inherited a coffee table from their grandmother. It had sentimental value but was well worn and damaged. I reclaimed the timber and added other reclaimed timber to make this storage chest, which also functions as a bench seat. https://www.haworthwoodworking.com.au/

13.01.2022 I made this desk for a client who was looking for a functional workspace that would neatly tuck away when not in use. The front panel folds down to form the desk and there is storage underneath for a printer. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

12.01.2022 These Buddy Benches were made for a primary school. Children can use these when they have no one to play with during lunchtimes. This helps other students to notice and include them. The Buddy Benches were made from merbau, and are sized to comfortably fit small children. The benches will be painted by students at the school to add a personalised touch. https://www.haworthwoodworking.com.au/

12.01.2022 A pine bookshelf with traditional sculpting at top, VJ lining boards at the back and hidden wedged dovetails to attach the shelves. No screws were used to make this one - it is not coming apart easily! A white painted finish was used to match the room. This would also look great with a clear finish.

12.01.2022 I had the pleasure of creating this lectern for Jubilee Primary School as the final piece in a set of custom items. The lectern features an inlay cross to represent the four faith traditions of the school. It was especially built with primary school students in mind it's smaller than a standard lectern and includes a stepping stool which fits neatly underneath the lectern when not in use. Banners can be hung from the rail at the front. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

12.01.2022 I recently completed this island benchtop as the centrepiece for a kitchen renovation. A slightly rustic feel, durable for everyday use, and nice and smooth to the touch. This benchtop is made from recycled hardwood boards, joined side to side and finished with a Danish oil so that it still feels like wood!

11.01.2022 This altar and lectern were made for a chapel in an aged care facility, and were designed to suit the needs of the community. They are made from Tasmanian Oak with a clear finish. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au/

10.01.2022 One job this week was to replace the right index finger of this statue. The original had broken off and was missing. I made a replacement, attached and applied some finish to match. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

09.01.2022 I specialise in making custom pieces that meet a particular need. This cabinet was designed with a client to store their sheet music collection. It features a hand-cut inlay and a custom handle turned on the lathe. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

09.01.2022 This 60cm cross is a small version of a 2.4m cross that I created recently for a school. It can be used with or without the stand. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

09.01.2022 Here's a sneak peek of some crosses I've made for a school. They will be mounted on the walls soon - more photos to come! http://haworthwoodworking.com.au

08.01.2022 This minimalist king-size bed frame was made for some clients who could not find what they wanted in the big box stores. To maximise under-bed storage, there are no support legs under the middle of the bed and the slats are thicker and oriented vertically to compensate for this. The bed frame can be easily disassembled for transport or storage.

07.01.2022 This bookshelf with adjustable shelves was made to fit a specific space in a clients home. Its made from Tasmanian Oak and finished with shellac. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

06.01.2022 I'm pleased to have delivered this silky oak cross for the Merthyr Rd Uniting Church. This piece is made from the door jambs from the first Meals On Wheels building in Brisbane. After removal of the lead paint, the timber came up beautifully. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

06.01.2022 This two-tier keyboard stand is an original design. The top tier is tilted and set back from the bottom tier, and cable runs are concealed along the inside of each leg. A logo is inlaid on each leg. The keyboard stand can be disassembled using 12 screws and flat packed if required. A piano stool complements the stand design. The seat height is adjustable in increments of 10mm via two pins. https://www.haworthwoodworking.com.au/

04.01.2022 These tables were made for Emmanuel City Mission. The tops are made from reclaimed wood with the centres logo inlaid, and the frames are made from sustainably sourced pine with a black japan finish. There are six in total, and the height allows them to be used either standing, or sitting on a bar stool.

03.01.2022 This large (120 x 90cm) dolls house was custom built so that a client could surprise her daughter on her birthday. The plywood was left raw so that it can be painted and personalised. http://haworthwoodworking.com.au/

03.01.2022 Adding a window seat to this living room completely transformed the space. This window seat turned an unused, awkward area into a visually pleasing and functional space. New blinds completed the transformation - very happy with the result! www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

01.01.2022 My clients bought this veneered coffee table as part of a furniture set, but it was too big for their new lounge suite. They wanted to keep the set together, so I reduced the size of the coffee table and re-finished it to look as good as new. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

01.01.2022 It was great to visit Our Lady of Lourdes primary school in Sunnybank to see the set of crosses that I made late last year had been installed! The crosses are an original design to suit the identity of the school and are made from reclaimed hardwood. The three big crosses are 2.4m high (and heavy!) and the hand-held cross is a scale model of one of the large ones. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au

01.01.2022 I'm delivering this plinth to an aged care facility this week. The organisation wanted a custom-made piece for their chapel. The base is weighted with concrete for extra stability to accommodate the heavy tabernacle that will be placed on top. www.haworthwoodworking.com.au
