25.01.2022 Thank you for your ongoing support of our pilates program. We have been pleased to continue to provide the best quality pilates service possible during the recent COVID restrictions. As per State Government relief of restrictions, we will revert to groups of up to a maximum of 4 from 1st June 2020. We are happy to provide a pilates setting that is most comfortable for you. Please let us know what suits you best over the next week or so

24.01.2022 As we are considered an essential business Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic remains open. We continue to suggest the best treatment for you is a face-to-face appointment. However, for those who cannot leave the house we are now offering an online service called Physitrack. How does it work? We will send you an email with a link the day of your appointment and all you need to do is click that link and it will take you to a video call with your physiotherapist. ... Do you need to download anything for the video call? Nope! The link we send will open up in your browser. What about prescribed exercises? Yep! The physio is able to send you exercises to complete on Physitrack and monitor your progress. What if you want to use a different program? If you would prefer to use Zoom, Facetime or Skype we are happy to do whatever is easiest for you! Please give us a call on 9819 2827 for further enquiries on this amazing opportunity. See more

21.01.2022 As part of Hawthorn Physio’s ongoing efforts to battle COVID-19 we have introduced a screening process before each appointment. You will need to answer a short questionnaire and then proceed to have your temperature taken before the appointment. thank you for your ongoing support during this tough time

20.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone! We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend (as much as you can from inside!) and can spend some quality time with some of your loved ones We will be closed Friday, Saturday and Monday and back open on Tuesday. If you would like to book an appointment over the weekend you can leave a voicemail or send us an email and will get back to you early Tuesday morning!

19.01.2022 During this tough time, we want to make sure we are here for everyone in our community. Please reach out to us if you need to talk, or even to go on a walk and do some exercises outside with a physio! Getting some out of the house and getting some fresh air can do wonders

14.01.2022 Another Lockdown Luckily we are still open and running, and we are taking every precaution necessary to keep it this way! This means sanitizing (everything!) and trying to not have too many people at the clinic at once. For pilates patients, this means that we are now back to having a maximum of 2 people per class. Because of this we will be opening up more times during the day for pilates patients. Please give us a ring if you have any queries, and we hope everyone is okay

09.01.2022 SETTING UP WORK AT HOME For all of you working from home at the moment we want to give you a few posture tips to help prevent injuries and soreness! 1) Proper posture: make sure you are close to the table with your back against the chair and sitting up straight. 2) Having computer at eye level: to help prevent neck soreness/pain. 3) Having keyboard/laptop within reach: again to help prevent strain in neck and shoulders. We are offering lots of at home options for those who are interested, give us a call for a chat

08.01.2022 R U OKAY? Today we have the beautiful reminder to check in with those that not only mean something special to us, but anyone that might be going through a tough time. In this profession we ask this question a lot, but most of the time this can just refer to physical pain. Especially in this current climate when deprived of some connections with others, take the time today to send a message and check in

07.01.2022 Just an FYI for all of our patients, if you need to travel outside of your 5km to see us - you are allowed to! We want to help you in any way we can so if you would like to book an alternative appointment give us a call

06.01.2022 What a wild few weeks it has been in the news! We realise there is some concern in the community about social distancing and in response to this we have ensured our operations are in keeping with government regulations. Physio’s now have set rooms for their patients - just like Charlie is showing us here! Check out our Instagram stories for some other changes that we have made

06.01.2022 Our awesome physio Kristen working with one of our patients through her post ACL rehab! All smiles here

06.01.2022 Welcome to the world of wearing masks! Charlie here is adapting well... and apparently has fashioned his own mask with a scarf! Which mask do you guys like better?

01.01.2022 DRY NEEDLING Dry needling can be an effective strategy to relieve neck related muscle tension, and aches can be more tolerable than traditional manual therapy techniques. It can be used to treat: headaches, muscle tension related neck pain, postural tightness and acute wry neck. This service remains ongoing throughout Lockdown, call us on 98192827 to make an appointment for some dry needling!
