23.01.2022 Facebook CEO and Founder announces the launching of Facebook Shops, which will offer small businesses an ecosystem to build their own online setup. Businesses will be able to leverage on AI algorithms and augmented reality to advertise and promote their products. Setting up your Shop is free, however, since Facebook is in the advertising business, there will be a number of paid features. Business owners will be able to give more focus to product and service development and delivery. Keeping up with SEO and Google Ads words may become a thing of the past for many micro and small businesses.

Although we owe a great deal to technology advanced in terms of productivity gains over the last two decades, online distractions are causing productivity to drop at an alarming rate. The payment rate of $1,500 per fortnight for eligible employees and business participants will be reduced to $1,200 per fortnight from 28 September 2020 and to $1,000 per fortnight from 4 January 2021. 12.01.2022 Macquiere Group joined a consortium behind a massive renewable energy project proposed for the Pilbara boosting the budget to $22 Billion and growing its capacity fro 9 to 11 Gw. That's great news for Western Australia as current and future power demand will be covered by renewable energy. Besides, there is an undersea pipeline planned to supply energy to South East Asia.

12.01.2022 The Australian Government just announced a $130 Billion stimulus package aimed at businesses so they can keep their employees. It is expected that up to 6 million people will access a $1,500 fortnightly wage subsidy. Employers can register their interest for the so-called JobKeeper on the ATO website. "Businesses which have experienced a 30 per cent fall in revenue since March 1 will be eligible for the wage subsidy." Self-employed and sole-traders are eligible and the ATO will use payroll information to verify employment situation as of 1 Mar 2020.
