18.01.2022 HHC Women's, Men's and Junior's training suspended until further notice. As you are all aware, we are facing an unprecedented situation in relation to the progress of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have continued to monitor the situation, taking into account what other clubs and associations are doing and advice from the medical fraternity. Although the announcement yesterday from Hockey Victoria was to proceed, we have decided to temporarily suspend all training training at Hawt...horn until further notice. This will enable us to follow the Federal Government's guideline on social distancing which cannot be practically achieved on the hockey field. We will continue to provide information as it becomes available. Please ensure you are checking emails, Team App, WhatsApp and social media regularly for information. We understand there will be implications for halting training, but want you to know that our number one priority is to protect the health and well-being of our players and the broader Hawthorn community. We understand things are in a constant state of flux, and may change as further information on the progress and impact of the COVID-19 outbreak emerges.We hope you understand this position and we will do our best to keep you informed. In the meantime, please look after your physical and mental health and we will look forward to welcoming you back to training, matches and social activities at Hawthorn when it is deemed prudent to do so.
