17.01.2022 Attention Members The Hawthorn Weightlifting Club committee has advised the VWA that tomorrow's HWC Open at In2performance Training has been cancelled. Please... see attached notification from HWC. The VWA is monitoring this situation and continues to follow advice from the relevant government departments and the AWF. We will update you if this situation impacts any of our upcoming events. We thank you for your patience as this situation evolves daily. The VWA has decided to move forward with a VWA U23 & U20 Nationals Qualification Event for all under 23 and under 20 athletes entered in the original HWC Open. All U23 and Junior athletes entered in the HWC Open have been automatically entered into this new event. Please refer to the attached entries and session times. As per HWC's advice any athlete who does not compete will have their entry fee refunded. This event will be held at Phoenix Weightlifting Club this Sunday 15 March, 21 Warner Street Oakleigh South. Given the change in venue there are limited numbers available . Please contact Phoenix Hon Secretary Andy Huynh ([email protected]) to request a place in the competition and Andy will confirm if you have booked a spot. We ask any athletes automatically entered but wishing to withdraw to notify us immediately. Sunday's competition schedule may change slightly from the attached entries and session times. This is a VWA hosted event and we thank the Phoenix Weightlifting Club committee for their generous support in helping our athletes qualify for future national events.
