11.01.2022 Gippsland Art Gallery is inviting artists to take part in ART AID FOR GIPPSLAND to support the 2020 Gippsland Bushfire Appeal. Artists may donate an artwork in ...any medium for exhibition at the Gallery from 14 February to 15 March. On the final day all artworks will be auctioned with profits going to the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund (GERF). If you'd like to get involved or know someone who would please get in touch with Simon Gregg at the Gallery at [email protected]. We need all artworks at the Gallery by Sunday 9 February. Please spread the word! The more artists involved the more money we can raise to help those many families in Gippsland who have lost so much this last week. THANK YOU GIPPSLAND!

08.01.2022 Some tips and tricks with Ben Quilty.

08.01.2022 First night of our Charcoal & Pastel lessons. Learning to switch over to the right side thinking zone was fun and everyone created some Pear-Fect artworks.

06.01.2022 Final evening of our introductory lessons. Tutor, Winsome Meggs demonstrated a landscape painting. Beginning with blocking in the lights and then seeing the whole painting ‘pop’ once the darks are added. Thank you to the participants, it’s been a great four weeks with plans to do more lessons in 2020.

05.01.2022 Once again, amazing results from Thursday nights charcoal lessons for beginners.

02.01.2022 Hay Art have secured some wonderful tutors for next year. Pop these dates into your diary and we will post more details about each workshop soon.

02.01.2022 This week was an introduction into working with pastel and colour. Painting with complimentary colours (opposite colours on the colour wheel) to achieve form. Another mindset challenge ....
