Sore joints/muscles, feel like you haven’t slept or feel like you just need to move to get going? ... Moving your body first thing in the morning creates - 1. A positive mood 2. Creates a healthy mindset (which can transition into healthier food choices and further exercise choices for the day) 3. Makes your body move and feel better 4. Can shrug off that tired feeling Here are my favourite moves to do when I first wake up (before doing anything else, if you can help it) Morning Movement Routine - Complete all movements like a circuit then repeat for a second or third round! Bird Dog x 6-8 Hold each position for 10 seconds before alternating, try and squeeze your glute the whole time Glute Bridge x 10 Again hold for a 10 second squeeze at the top, use a band if you have access to one! (Hamstrings cramping? Pull your ankles back closer to your glutes) Superman x 10 5-10 second holds depending on the individual Thread the Needle x 10 Complete one side at a time, reach as far as your body allows it too Hip Flexor Stretch with Twist x 5 Hold for 10 seconds at the top of each twist before relaxing and completing one side at a time Loaded Goblet Squat Hold x 8 Hold the bottom position for 10 seconds, squat up 2 inches further, squeeze your glutes and hold for 5 seconds, drop back down to the bottom position before squatting back up to the top Please let me know how this make you feel tomorrow morning and if you notice a difference? 12.01.2022 I moved to Australia this year and joined the local gym. After awhile I plateaued and decided to do one on one personal training with Hayden to get into using weights, maintaining correct form and expanding my knowledge on a variety of exercises. When I began I was barely able to get through even the simplest sets then week after week I saw my strength increase as he pushed me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of. ... Every session is different but still tailored to your goals, and it is evident he has a plethora of knowledge to suit whatever your goals may be, be it you’re just starting out (like I was) or are more advanced. He is super flexible and responsive regarding when you can train and I am super satisfied with the outcome of our sessions. I love that I'm constantly challenged, pushed to my limit and left feeling like I've achieved something whether it be a new movement/higher intensity or a heavier lift.... Hayden caters to my individual goals and preferences and takes into consideration any injuries or soreness, but he isn't afraid to throw in a curve ball here and there to keep me on my toes His programing is spot on, keeping me interested and excited to train which is the best motivator for me.
