21.01.2022 On Monday, 16th November, we had 6 students; Jayden C 5C, Xavier A 6D, Ewan H 6T, Harrison S 6T, Cooper S 4S and Samuel F 4S participate in the online Interschool Chess Semi-Final tournament. Our students versed other primary school aged students from a range of schools such as Central Coast P.S, Bradbury P.S, Crestwood P.S, Christ the King Primary School, Tighes Hill P.S, Ascham School, Barnsley P.S, Timbumburi P.S, Sydney Japanese International School and Bella Vista P.S.... In this first semi-final heat round, our students had a solid field of 64 competitors. As we await the score results from the next semi-final heat that still needs to be played to see where our school ranked, I would like to thank our 6 students for representing our school with great spirit, enthusiasm and strategic thinking. A big thank you to Mrs Gould for the use of the laptops and library space. Mrs Tracey Carter

18.01.2022 COVID won't stop 4S from commemorating Remembrance Day. We loved watching the ceremony organised by Mr Langford and creating our own poppies. We also did our minute of silence in the class facing our Remembrance Garden.

15.01.2022 This week, 10 talented Year 6 students enjoyed participating in a graffiti workshop with the awesome local artist Jyi Westaway. The program was organised and funded by Wollongong council in order to promote Street art and encourage students to make positive choices. We look forward to seeing the installation on our bus stop outside the school, once the last group completes their artwork. Thanks to Erin and Jyi for supporting our students.

07.01.2022 Some of our lucky year 6 students sampled life at KHS. They had a tour of the school and met their new principal, Miss Toohey. The students had a great afternoon and are looking forward to their next chapter of schooling.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to our Principal awards winners and NAIDOC trivia stage winners!

03.01.2022 Kindergarten Orientation and Leapfrog groups are finished for 2020. Thank you to all that were able to make it to the sessions and we look forward to seeing you at the start of 2021. Best start information will be coming your way via Facebook and Skoolbag later on this term. If your child attended Leapfrogs group this term (Group 5) then unfortunately they were unable to attend our Kindergarten Orientation due to COVID restrictions. They will be able to participate in our Ki...ndergarten rotations at the beginning of next year. Information for next year will be provided to you via Facebook and Skoolbag. Thank you for your patience this year and we look forward to working with you next year.

03.01.2022 Dear parents, Please be aware that several students at our school have a fear of dogs. We therefore ask you to consider not to crowd the entry and exit paths even if your dog is on a leash, for the benefit of these students. We thank you for your understanding in this matter.

01.01.2022 NAIDOC week Nature Art Installation HPPS students foraged for materials throughout the school to create these amazing X-ray art installations. The artworks were inspired by the traditional style used by the people of Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory of Australia to depict local animals and stories. All students had a part to contribute to, making it a shared experience that we will never forget. We acknowledge the Dharawal land we learn and create on. We respect this lan...d and the materials that it provides for our students to use. Please click on the link to view the photos https://hayespark-p.schools.nsw.gov.au/ga/naidoc-week0.html
