24.01.2022 Looking for something different to do with the kids over the school break? This zoo livestreams some of their animals habitats. Watching animals (and looking for them as they're not always in sight) is a great way to comment on what you see, practice asking and answering questions, and is a topic kids love to tell stories about, so they can practice giving enough information for their listener, sequencing the story, and describing. Even if the animals aren't visible, you can hypothesise about where they might be and what they might be doing. https://www.zoo.org.au/animal-house/

19.01.2022 COVID-19 update Haylee Stevens Speech Pathology will begin recommencing face to face visits from 25/05/2020. Please note the following:... Hand washing/hand hygiene will be required for all clients and caregivers who are capable of doing so. Haylee will be minimising the resources (e.g. toys / games) brought to each visit. Please choose some resources from your home that you would like to use /work with during your session. Physical distancing will be used as much as possible. If it is possible to reduce the number of people in your home during visits, please do so. Backyard sessions may also be considered if sun safety and privacy can be maintained. Please note, as per public health requirements, 4square meters is required per person for an inside gathering. Please cancel or request to reschedule your appointment / have a telepractice sesssion if: - You or a member of your household are sick with even mild cold or flu symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing), gastrointestinal symptoms (vomiting or diarrhoea), or contagious illnesses such as chickenpox, influenza, or whooping cough. - You or a member of your household have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID19 within 14 days. - You or a member of your household have returned from overseas, or have crossed a state border within 14 days. Alternate service delivery options such as telepractice will still be offered if this is suitable for your circumstances. Please note that the recommencement of school visits, or visits to Supported Independent Living arrangements is dependent on the approval of the relevant organisation.
