25.01.2022 http:// IT'S GOT TO FEEL RIGHT // It doesn't matter what you are doing in business - and life for that matter, but things just have to feel right. It's the one non-negotiable I have when working with clients. It's the one question I always find myself asking when we work together. Does this feel right for you?... I'm going to add a disclaimer here: doing what feels right, doesn't always mean choosing the comfortable option. Sometimes right, means getting damn uncomfortable. It doesn't always make logical sense either. But in my experience, and what I have seen time and time again in my work with clients - is that following your inner knowing, following that feeling of 'I don't know why I am doing this but it just feels right', never fails. Some examples I have seen: -Cancelling a big ticket event, because the venue didn't feel right. - Creating new programs that felt edgy and exciting, and pushed the boundaries of what had been done before. -Cancelling launches due to things feeling out of alignment. - Keeping numbers for a program limited, even though it went against the grain of what we are often told we should do. And you know what, in every single situation, there was success. Without fail. Increased success, actually. Better results than if we followed the 'other' path. And ease. So much ease. It doesn't always have to be hard, and one thing I know for sure, is that doing what feels right, and following your truth - that is where the magic is. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! 22.01.2022 One of the biggest things I hear from new clients when connecting with them, is that business is feeling hard and overwhelming. There is so much to do, and not enough time to do it in. And I get it. You’re a creative + you just want to keep creating. You have a mission, a dream, a purpose + that is where you thrive. That is where you want to spend your time. ... And my love, that is where you SHOULD be spending your time. Especially in this current climate - your people need you. You are a leader and you create such an important impact on this world. But one thing I know for sure, is that in order for you to be able to do this to the level you desire, in order for your business to feel free + easy, and for you to have the time + space you need - is that you need to have the systems in place to support it. I know ‘systems + structure’ doesn’t sound ‘pretty’, + sometimes the thought of them makes you feel all gahhh! But please trust me when I say, systems set up in the right way create flow. Systems create space and ease in biz because the mental load is taken off your shoulders. It can be as simple as moving your teams communication out of your inbox and into a system like @slackhq (#gamechanger ). It can be automating your client on-boarding so it’s done at the click of a button, every time. 21.01.2022 Ease, and business.... Do the two fit together? Yes, they do. You can totally have ease in your work. ... You can embrace flow and spaciousness, and all of that delightful magic! Ease is both mindset, and choice. It is taking an honest look at what stories and habits you're bringing to the work that you do, and letting go of the ones that do not serve. But ease is also practical, and strategic. It is looking at the support and structures you have in your business and taking practical steps to get set up for success. It might mean asking yourself (or a support person) what changes do I need to make to bring about a deeper feeling of ease in my business? Are my systems and processes supporting ease, or are they making it harder to do what I need to do here? Am I in alignment with what I desire, and what I need. Am I following my truth? You might need to create a bit of space in order for these answers to come to you, it might mean taking an afternoon off - dropping into a playful state, talking a walk to the beach... whatever you need to do to get things flowing. If the offering that is on your heart, but feels scary and unknown, is speaking to you, launch it. If stillness is what you need right now, stop. If it doesn't quite make sense, but it feels right, trust it. If what you are doing and the way you are doing it, feels perfect and aligned and lights you the f*#k up, keep going. 05.01.2022 My heart is hurting right now, as I am sure it is for so many of us around the world. But one thing I feel so deeply, is that we each as individuals and as a collective have an opportunity to really use this time - of lockdowns, and isolation and the deep levels of uncertainty - to take stock of what is important to us. To look at where we may have swayed off the course of our heart + truth, and what it is we can do to come back to centre.... It’s a chance for us to sit with the shadows that are coming up within, to feel your deepest fears (which are no doubt arising right now) - and witness them. Don’t judge them. But FEEL them. Let any fears or uncertainty come up and take them for what they are. (Yes they hurt and feel uncomfortable, but negative feelings and fear are simply that, your bodies way of telling you what doesn’t feel right for you). Sit with them, and take the lessons, and the feedback from them. Yep, it's the secret sauce. High level, thorough communication. If you want to take your team, your business and your relationships from working to thriving, you have to look at how you are communicating within them. What things could be done to improve the way you connect, engage and relate with your team (or your people in general). Do you need to talk more? Have difficult conversations? Have more regular meetings? Bring some new tools and platforms into your business to communicate more effectively and streamline how you connect? It's great to learn about different angles, and try new things. But there is one thing that I believe is crucial to check in with first. The one that doesn't get talked about or taught to the masses.
