24.01.2022 Just a little love note to let you know I have been pulling back from posting on socials a little lately while I focus on my personal life. It has been a big 2020 to say the least. You’ll really only find me in my Facebook chat group (Hayley Morcom Fitness private group) and inside my Online Studio as per usual bringing you regular workouts (you can sign up at any time through the link in my profile). I feel a big spiritual pull right now to re-centre, re-connect and re-d...iscover my life and that means stepping away from here for a little bit (I’ll re-surface when the time feels right). 23.01.2022 Gnocchi, gnocchi. "Who's There? "It's a me, sweet potato! If you’re looking for a gluten free, lower carb gnocchi, meet this guy! Made from sweet potato + sorghum flour and mixed in with broccoli, spinach, peas, zucchini, beans, mushrooms + pesto, oh my he is one tasty and nutrient dense dish. *drool Ok, ok I know you’ll ask for the recipe for this beauty so here is what I did (in true HM style I cook with a touch and feel approach so these are approx): Serves 4-5.... 2 large roasted sweet potatoes, skin peeled off once cool. 2 cups of gluten-free all purpose flour or sorghum flour 1 egg Salt Extra flour for surface while kneading Method; combine all ingredients in a bowl and form a sticky dough with your hands. Form into a large ball and divide into quarters with a knife. Dust a surface with flour and roll out each quarter separately into a long ‘snake’ using your hands. Cut into bite sized pieces and set aside. Repeat until all dough is used. Using a fork slightly flatten each piece. Drop gnocchi gently into a large pot of boiling water, small batches at a time. Scoop out once they float to the top. Once all cooked heat butter in a fry pan (I use an organic vegan butter) and crisp up over the heat. 18.01.2022 The Mighty Avocado It’s such a beautiful time of year to be diving into some fresh fleshy avocado. It’s; packed with nutrients like Folate and Vitamin C high I’m healthy fats (I like most fruits which are mainly carbohydrates) higher in Potassium than a banana (a nutrient most people don’t get enough of) loaded with fiber (helps aid in weight loss) . One study has even found people who consume avos tend to lead a healthier life. 11.01.2022 Hello lovely! I haven’t re-introduced myself in a while so here’s a few (really) random facts about me. Feel free to introduce yourself too! 33 years old Virgo left handed I am a mumma to a gorgeous 2.5 year old girl and dog mumma to a 2.5 year old Toy Cavoodle I tear up at anything related to animal cruelty My guilty pleasure is watching cheesy rom coms and reality tv shows I collect magazine clippings of my dream home I love a strong organic full cream ...milk latte in the morning I used to work as a breakfast show radio host, journalist and news presenter (3.30am wake ups) and travelled around with this career for 10 years During that stint I handled snakes, drove monster trucks, go karts, climbed things, raced things, participated in challenges, run 34km on a treadmill for charity, interviewed countless celebrities, embarrassed myself hundreds of times and woken up at the crack of dawn for thousands of mornings My pants once caught fire from standing too close to a camp fire and I ran around like an idiot (making it worse) I once ran (really fast) into a glass door so hard I fell onto my back and thought I broke my nose. My family has since never let me forget about it I've never broken a bone, I have only ever had stitches on my fingers when I nearly cut them off on a spaghetti tin I don't have a good relationship with snakes, even a photo of them makes me squirm from top to toe When I was younger I had a fear of escalators; the stairs moved too quickly and I was scared I'd trip and it'd suck me inside I can be clumsy at times and once fell out of a tree and landed onto my back. My dad thought I died My heart stopped beating when I was a baby and I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance I've moved house 16 times since moving out of home I'm the one who always takes the conversation one step too far and straight into dirty-ville I have a fear of tidal waves after watching Deep Impact as a child I have a birthmark on the side of my knee I have been a fitness trainer for 10 years and am always learning/studying to better myself to better help you.
