23.01.2022 Unfortunately we have had to close off Royhaven from future bookings until the end of April due to the construction site next door. They are breaching the envir...onmental act EBA working hrs and guests are being woken at 6.30am at the weekends with terrible construction noise. Royhaven is known to be a very peaceful place and so until construction is back to a suitable level we are closing the house to further bookings as we want our guests to enjoy the accommodation to its fullest. 22.01.2022 With special thanks to Helen Forster of whole beginnings, for her awesome fundraiser for the cancer council Victoria. It got me thinking how we can give back a little. So I contacted cancer council Victoria and applied to be on their holiday programme for cancer patients and their families. Royhaven is now listed for 4 stays a year for families affected by this horrible disease. I hope we can put a smile on some faces and take away some stress, and help to make beautiful memories along the way. God Bless you Roy

10.01.2022 Any day now when the wind is just right the Short-tailed shearwaters will begin leaving Phillip Islands shores to start the long flight to the Bering Strait ne...ar Alaska. The adults have a lot of experience, but when the chicks take flight, they often crash land on roads and end up in unusual or dangerous places. Our Shearwater Rescue program works to remove shearwater chicks from dangerous locations and take them to safe take-off points. But we need everyones help to keep these birds safe. How you can help: Slow down on roads at night and early morning. Return birds found in unsafe areas to the shearwater colony place them under a bush or in a burrow if safe to do so do not walk over shearwater burrows as they collapse easily and can injure birds inside. Our rescue program runs between mid-April early May, please be aware of rangers on roads and changed traffic conditions during this time. Thank you for your support!
