23.01.2022 WOW!! 71 likes in 3 days :) thanks guys xx hopefully I don't feed Tez to the crocs on our trip to the Kimberley's, and can keep posting about our camping adventures

20.01.2022 Here goes! I was asked to write a wee dit on our trip to Uluru and back! It started off with one of the kids getting married in Denmark down south, We took the camper trailer as thought would be great to continue with a drive to Uluru. After the wedding we drove to Esperance for two nights, this is not long enough here as it is a stunning place! On our first day out exploring the national parks and some 4WDriving along the beaches....Continue reading

14.01.2022 Ok! Been a wee while since last post! Having to cancel our 18mth planned trip to the Kimberley's with Haze having to have an operation on shoulder, as this means I am not working for 4/5 months we can no longer go on our dream trip! But hey the place will still be there in couple years time so to plan for next time! So now we are looking at doing a shorter trip up the west coast for 2-3 weeks with our new camping buddy Harvey joining us! We will be looking at where to stay using the WikiCamps app on phone for dog friendly and freebie or cheap camping places! If you don't have this app then check it out as it is fantastic! #WikiCamps #camping Now to re-plan

12.01.2022 Decided on a last minute night away in the caravan! Less than an hour away from us and is free and dog friendly what more could you ask for! Took a walk around the forest in the morning for an hour. Back to camp for lunch and coffee before taking a walk up to and around the POW camp! About a 40min walk from camp then a walk around! On way back to camp seen sign for waterfall! No kms written on sign so thought would not be far! Ooh how we got that wrong! All up we walked 4 hours with the pup and our foster pup! We were all buggered in evening! Harvey put himself to bed at 1900hr, Terry and foster pup Kyla snoring next to campfire worth a visit for a quick weekend away! Marrinup townsite camping area

11.01.2022 Wishing everyone a happy and safe Easter break What are you all doing for the weekend? We are spending the weekend down in Bridgetown, kayaking, few drinks, games, Mexican themed dinner night as there a few of us all together (20)... Heading up to the Cidery for lunch today. We also have a new addition to our family and our wee camping buddy "Harvey" See more

11.01.2022 Went camping for the long weekend here in WA down south to Nannup with our 4WD club. Stayed in a national park. Half way through the convoy this big ass tree decided to fall down! Just as well the last 5 cars took a wrong turn and ended up being 10 minutes later than the first part of our convoy. As we had missed our turn off, we have managed to get a hold of the group leader for directions, couple of minutes later he would have been out of signal! got really good directions ...to where we found the tree across the road, on our radio's letting the crew know that there was a tree across the road to be told, if that is the case we are on the wrong road! 5 cars, some with trailers trying to reverse back this tiny corrugated dirt road. As we have got back to a previous intersection we could here the group leader on radio saying there was a tree in middle of the road! "ya don't say!" lol. We were on the right track after all! but who had the chainsaw!!!!! mmmm seems this had been forgotten! although this little hand held saw cut through quite nicely. Tez had reversed the truck around to other side of the fence to assist with winching the tree off the road so that we could all get through and enjoy the rest of our weekend :) See more

10.01.2022 Kalbarri -This is one of our favourite regular spots for a week camp at least! The National parks here are breathtaking,

10.01.2022 It's been a quiet few weeks here. Much of the work on the car for our Kimberly trip is complete only some wiring for power in the tray remains. This weekend Haz is off on a girls only 4x4 adventure. I'm expecting some interesting stories.

07.01.2022 This was Haze's very first trip into the Australian outback! and what an amazing adventure this was! Only places we booked were in Esperance and Uluru which is a must book. We just winged it everywhere else with finding great free camping spots of very cheap camp spots. Seeing the wildlife, my first Dingo and the Camels out in the wild was an amazing experience. You must really plan ahead and be well equipped for taking these sort of trips tho, but I will say they are so worth it!

06.01.2022 It was a bright and sunny day, couldn't get much better! or so we thought!! Tez making a start on some of our preparation for our 5 week camp to the Kimberley's and crossing the famous and notorious Gibb River Road. As this road can be unpredictable we need to ensure that we are set up for all road surfaces and conditions. We were going to take the caravan but after much research and chatting with fellow campers we have made the decision to leave the caravan in storage near D...Continue reading

06.01.2022 Tez having a play in the mud! This is with our local 4WD club at their Winter Mud Gymkana trophy event! Interested in joining the 4WD Club of WA and getting involved in the fun? Give us a call 0439 908 137 for info

04.01.2022 Tez let me escape on the girls 4WD weekend! I must say I drove to just outside Toodyay, 1.5hr away. I was very impressed that my trip was trouble free! Did not get lost or get into trouble! Makes me think who the bad influence is really! I missed out on the 4WDing which wasn't to bad as due to shoulder injury and awaiting surgery it is a tad painful doing the 4x4! I even managed to set up my swag and awning! Putting the awning away took me a few attempts tho! Due to mix of shoulder and height to put it away! I have decided that we need another mattress for the swag as feels like your arse is on a slab of cement! Seeing we will be spending 3 weeks in it I think we need a tad more comfort!

03.01.2022 Thought would be great to share some of our stories of our camping around our gorgeous country Australia. We have a second hand cheapy caravan which we have just got and loving it so far. Also have a Swag for those places that are not suitable for caravans. Just set up a blog which you can get link further down. We are self sustaining with solar panels etc so that we do not require access to campsites for power, water etc. and yes even a wee porta-loo! Things can and quite often go wrong for us! which you will no doubt see as we get posting on here! We would also love to hear about other's adventures but please keep things clean on posts!

02.01.2022 We are members of the 4WD Club of WA! so looking forward to the muddy wet fun this weekend! feel like you are missing out on all our 4WD fun? pop along to a meeting to find out what we are all about, call ... 0439 908 137 for club info, we meet twice a month and many trips to get involved in and have fun with a great bunch of peeps :) See more

02.01.2022 This is one of our regular camping spots for the weekend or overnight getaway. Bridgetown being only a 2.5hr drive away! This one was on the Australia Day weekend

01.01.2022 Weekend at Lake Navarino with our 4WD club! Great campsite and dog friendly which meant our wee camping buddy Harvey could join us! He is still confined to his playpen and tarp on ground! Although he does seem to have claimed Tez's camp chair Lake Navarino camp ground is still recovering and the main office almost completed after the massive Waroona bushfires that swept through the place last year! They have done an awesome job and is well worth a visit here

01.01.2022 Been a relatively quiet couple of weeks! Tez's birthday last week, I got him a 12v / 240v TV/DVD (not sure if H just wanted this and bought for Tez as excuse) Had a great celebration at our local pub "Marri Park Tavern" with few friends along for dinner and drinks! Tez has been busy in the garage most evenings this week building a "something" to put in back of truck to help with storage for our trip! I won't bust his bubble here and let him explain what he is making! So far h...e has managed this incident free! Think that might be only because Haze has been laid low with Vertigo all week and has been no where near him to cause any trouble! I (Haze) has now made a start on my Diploma in Professional Photography, almost completed my first module! Hoping that this will help with capturing some amazing photos through the Kimberley region! I have started a Facebook page for my photography but is just a learning in progress at the moment! Please feel free to pop over and have a look. "Hazel-Ann Photography"
