22.01.2022 Selling your home is both an emotional and worrying time for most people. There is so much to do; getting an agent, a removalist, cancelling phones / electricity / gas connections, redirecting mail & etc etc. Conveyancing is at the end of the long line of "things to be done", but never the less is one of the more important aspects of the entire process - after all, it is the legal paperwork that must be done correctly. You want to know that you are getting a good job at a fair price and that's where we can assist you. With four Registered Conveyancers on site (and Accreditation with the Australian Institute of Conveyancers Association) we are here to assist you..

15.01.2022 A brief update from Hallett Cove Conveyancers BUSINESS AS USUAL As we are all aware, our country and the world in general is facing challenging times at the moment. We have no doubt that the global pandemic of COVID-19 will also have consequences for the real estate industry and the conveyancing industry.... We would like to give you an update on the latest developments and the measures our firm is taking moving forward. As at 5pm on Friday 20th March, the Lands Titles Office has closed access to the Settlements room at 101 Grenfell Street Adelaide where the Paper Settlements have been taking place for many years. Property transactions can however still continue via the electronic platform (PEXA) and this will be the main way to settle properties in the future. Our company has been settling property transactions via PEXA for some considerable time now and all our staff are experienced in finalising property transactions via PEXA. We are therefore in a position to continue trading as normal. There will be some files that can only be completed as a Paper Settlement. This may be because a particular file is not capable of being settled electronically (only a few) but mostly because the Conveyancer / Solicitor acting for the other party has not been transacting Electronically yet and quite frankly won’t be able to set up and complete any Electronic settlement in the near future. Unfortunately, due to the unprecedented circumstances, we do expect some disruption within the industry. The big question is the severity and length of time of the disruption. No-one knows how disruptive or how long it will be at this point. We expect that some settlements may be delayed but expect them to be few To be prepared for possible future developments all of our staff now have the ability to work and settle property transactions electronically from home if and when the need arises. We are in a very good position to still be able to provide quality service to our Clients, Agents and Finance Brokers. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us we might not have all the solutions but will continue to work towards total customer satisfaction. Stay safe, from all the staff at HCC.
