25.01.2022 Anti - Bullying Campaign Continues: Yesterday our senior leaders and junior council leaders led sessions on bullying and distinguishing between bullying and banter and then steps to deal with it so it stops. At Holy Cross we are all about preparing our boys for a life of learning and leadership as a force for good in the world. Well done to our new senior leaders for leading this crusade. #lifelearningleadership #antibullying #leadership #authenticeducation
25.01.2022 Learning @hccryde - The last week of Term 3 is always a vibrant time around our College. Today we celebrate our outstanding HSC Music class who were recently examined. Their performances have been described as sublime and high quality with an expectation of the class achieving our finest HSC Music results. Congratulations to the class of 2020 in particular our terrific Music students who have contributed so much to the College in their 6 years. #lifelearningleadership #hscmusic #goldstandard
24.01.2022 Sport @hccryde - another outstanding day of sport which saw MCC Basketball trials finalised at our new indoor facilities booked especially for Basketball and the host of students trialling. Holy Cross also played a game against Patrician Brothers, Fairfield in an excellent hit out for both schools in Rugby League. Lastly our fisherman have struck again with another outstanding haul of fish. There is always something for everyone at Holy Cross College, Ryde. #lifelearningleadership #sport #basketball #mcctrials #goldstandard #schoolboycup
23.01.2022 Leadership and affirmation @hccryde - at Holy Cross our Year Coordinators have a clear focus to help produce men who will make a difference in the world. One side of this is getting different students to lead year assemblies to break down barriers of leadership and help with self confidence and students personal development. Furthermore, we focus on affirming our students with regular awards for academic and personal achievements. Well done Mr. Signorelli and Year 10 students before you know it you will be our Year 11 leaders of 2021. #lifelearningleadership #affirmation #leadership #goldstandard #sydneycatholicschools
23.01.2022 Learning @hccryde - our extraordinarily talented Year 12 Visual Arts students have submitted their HSC works for 2020. They are truly amazing and illustrate the tremendous talents of our senior students. Thank you to our wonderful teachers who have guided our young men with passion and persistence so they can demonstrate these talents to the world. #lifelearningleadership #hsc2020 #visualarts #goldstandard
22.01.2022 CSNSW Cricket Championship: on Wednesday Holy Cross College, Ryde played St Dominics College, Penrith in the CSNSW final. Holy Cross bowled first and showed plenty of spirit against a much more experienced St Dominics. Unfortunately a late batting order collapse allowed St Dominics to take the victory in what was an outstanding performance. St Dominics experience proved vital in attacking our senior batsman getting them out cheaply from which Holy Cross couldn’t recover. Again it was a great season for our First XI cricket side and they should be proud with only one player not back in 2022 it shapes as another stellar season. #CSNSW #Cricket #success
21.01.2022 Learning @hccryde - As our Year 12 PDHPE students prepare for their HSC, they have written an exam for their peers, completed the paper and are now using self made marking criteria to mark their peers and give feedback. Another strategy implemented is Reciprocal Teaching. Here, boys are speed dating, teaching each other different areas of the syllabus. #lifelearningleadership #hsc2020 #sydneycatholicschools

20.01.2022 Learning @hccryde - one of the highlights of the end of term 3 is witnessing the tremendous achievements of our Year 12 students. 18.01.2022 Heartfelt moment of 2021: Every year the boys at Holy Cross have a magnificent ability of making the whole community so proud. Recently our College principal received this letter and image from a member of the public. On St. Patrick’s day three of our senior students came to the aid of an elderly lady whose electronic mobility scooter had broken down. In what can only be described as exceptional the boys pushed the lady for 2 - 3 kilometres until she got home safely. The good... deed would have gone unnoticed if not for the awareness of a passer by who took this image and wrote the attached letter. The College community is immensely proud of our senior students and we would like to publicly acknowledge Lee Chalon, Deakin Antaw and Matthew Lawrence of Year 12 for their care, compassion and efforts for a lonely stranger in need. They not only received principals awards but our admiration and respect. All three boys went above and beyond last week and demonstrated what it truly means to be not just a good Patrician man, but a good human. We are very lucky and blessed to have such great young men as part of our College community. Now thats what it means to be a Holy Cross boy. #lifelearningleadership #care #compassion #bemore #webeforeme #sydneycatholicschools #CSNSW See more

03.01.2022 Holy Cross Remembers all those who sacrificed in service of our great country. In particular the Holy Cross College Old Boys who never returned. The College Memorial Chapel was built as a permanent memorial to the many who volunteered or who were sent on our behalf to conflicts around the world. November 11 is now an opportunity to remember these sacrifices from the past, but importantly, to ensure that we create a world where there is tolerance, patience, respect and peace,... to demonstrate respect for those sacrifices paid so long ago. We will remember them! They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them." Lest We Forget
