25.01.2022 HCEXCA team mates - Let me know if you are coming to states :)
21.01.2022 Bitter sweet victory post AEC state championships. Whilst Leese and Cruise took out 1st place in go round 1 in Non Pro and Pro on Saturday Sunday was not ment to be and we are sorry to say we lost the poster boy of High Country EXCA coming down sick moments before his non pro run and later being put to sleep at 10pm Sunday night. ... Lagoona Rockafella ‘Cruize’ his life was spared 7 years ago when he underwent twisted bowel surgery. He had a large fatty mass attached to his intestines at the time could not be removed. This was a ticking time bomb that meticulous feeding was managed to the best we could. He won many buckles and many placings and took his nephew onto win a national championship. Unfortunately his time was up and he gave his mum the last hoorah Saturday. We hope we can find a way for him to be taken home to be buried so he can run free in the high country forever. Heaven has taken back thier angel RIP Mr Cruize Loved by all and broken the hearts of many See more

18.01.2022 Fun slideshow of EXCA in a nutshell. Featuring our own young gun Rylan fox missing getting off on the step and hitting sand. Then not far after Vice President Tamara Fox - well she did ok only our Sister Heby went A over T on a obstacle whilst filming to then film upside down Never a dull moment in this sport.

05.01.2022 Results from the state champs ! Top effort by every single member who braved the icy breeze and passing shower to ride and give your best. You all ran your own race and kicked your own goals which is something to be super proud of! I am sorry I couldn’t see the event through and get a team photo of you legends. It was a big weekend but the courses ran smooth and times were great, which really helped pump through a great number of entries. ... Thanks to AEC for hosting and Chris Woodall for coming up to help. Also special mention to Kim Peterson for the touching tribute to Cruize on these results flyers. See more

01.01.2022 Squares...in the horse world we ride a lot of circles. In riding circles we find our horses falling to the inside or outside or falling on their forehand’s, not... maintaining gait etc. Those issues come from lack of balance. Think about riding straight lines and square turns. Start riding with more outside or bridle rein to help balance the horse and use less direct, pulling, gee haw rein. Use your bridle rein to not only push your horse but think about using your bridle rein to rock the weight over the haunches, lightening the front end so you can ride a square turn. When you’re good at long straight lines and turning corners shorten your lines, ride an octagon then when that’s good you ride a circle but it’s a series of short balanced straight lines and corner turns. All coming from the bridle rein and your body. In this world of circles be a straight square.
