21.01.2022 I recorded this video at yesterdays Texas Angus Angus bull sale. It is a record of the actual sale of Lot 6; the $108,000 bull. Apart from the fact that a bit... of outstanding Angus history was made, I have some observations; *Note the COVIDSAFE environment. The Mayne family went above and beyond expectations to keep the over 300 sale attendees safe and traceable from entry to exit. *Note the flow of the outstanding auctioneer, Michael Glasser. Note his professionalism and interplay combined to take the crowd, vendors and the online audience into record territory as one. *Also watch for Chris Norris from Elite Livestock (the guy working 3 computers and a phone at once to keep up with the additional 400-500 on line potential bidders) *Finally, watch for Ben and Wendy Mayne and their reaction to the eye-watering price as they humbly but confidently accept their new dominant place in the Angus beef industry. I might be reading too much from a short video, but I think the above 4 factors have a big role to play from now on the Australian Beef Industry. It was a nice moment. Regards Bob
