23.01.2022 Housing Choices SA advises that in line with Government health advice our team will be reducing the time they spend based in the office in the coming two weeks. At this stage we remain open for business and available to assist with all property, tenancy and support program matters. However, our community activity programs and group activities will stop for the next fortnight. ... As we have a reduced team in the office, if you need to see a team member please call ahead to book a time to visit. Please consider whether we can assist you by phone or email first. If we all reduce our movement and face to face contact with people outside of our households over the coming fortnight, together we can play our part to help beat this latest outbreak. We understand that this is a worrying time, help is available, contact Lifeline on 131 114 or call the Mental Health Emergency line 13 14 65

19.01.2022 On Tuesday our weekly walking group headed West in the van, and visited beautiful Henley Beach. We parked and took a stroll along the Esplanade and jetty enjoying the salty air and sea breeze. We were lucky enough to have a dolphin swim past and it was easy to spot in the clear blue water. We ended the visit with a coffee at Joe’s at Henley Beach. The walking group leaves from Light Square every Tuesday at 10am. For more information please contact the Community Development team on 1300 312 447

12.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Today, Premier Steven Marshall announced very significant changes to the way we will need to live for the next six days to restrict the latest COVID-19 outbreak. The changes impact on all aspects of our daily life, and operations at Housing Choices. These changes will take effect with little notice so understandably the next few days will be challenging as we all adjust. The Housing Choices office will be closed to the public during this time, but we will ...still be operating remotely and will be available by phone and email. The restrictions will require us to restrict our maintenance program to urgent and essential work, but residents should still register requests with us, and we will attend to them when we can. A summary of the changes are below: The following restrictions will apply from midnight: People must stay at home unless visiting the supermarket (except essential service workers) No exercise outside the home 1 person per household per day may leave to purchase groceries No regional travel No weddings or funerals to take place Masks are to be worn in public The following essential services can remain open: Supermarkets One person from your household will be able to visit a supermarket, once a day. Medical facilities (including mental health services) Petrol stations Public transport Some government services Remember to practice social distancing, follow hygiene rules and get tested if you have any of the symptoms of COVID-19. https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/he/expanded-covid-19-testing Stay safe, stay well and don’t hesitate to contact us if you need some assistance or advice. 07.01.2022 What a fantastic day we've had today with some of our residents in celebration of Neighbour Day. A sense of community and belonging is so important to our wellbeing and mental health. Great to see neighbours chatting together, joining in with a variety of board games and tucking into a fabulous BBQ. Live music provided by the very talented Stephen O’Malley. Our thanks to Rachel Sanderson - Member for Adelaide for her participation in the unveiling of an amazing painting created by one of our residents. ACH Group City of Adelaide Adelaide Westend
