25.01.2022 Pearson back on track tomorrow night FOR Victorian Late Model driver Cameron Pearson, tomorrow night has been a long time coming. After a lengthy delay to racing due to Covid, Pearson will finally jump back into the drivers seat of the Number 10 when he competes at Murray Bridge Speedway. ... "It's been since around late March since I have been in the seat," Pearson said. "Since then the car has received a new body and a makeover. "As this car was the original car Tyler (Erb) raced, I had to make a couple of changes to suit myself." A small but solid field of Late Model drivers have nominated for the event and Pearson said he is really looking forward to getting back out there and blowing the cobwebs out. "I'm looking to be competitive this weekend," he said. "I have no goals exactly as I haven’t driven in a while, but hopefully all our hard work in the off season can pay off." Pearson thanks the following sponsors for their support: Booth, Tritech Lubricants, Case Construction Vic, Pirtek Bayswater, Ty Twarog Racing, XR1 Rocket Chassis, Fast Freddies Tyre Service, Andy Durham Racing Engines, Accuforce, HDD Racing and Highside Promotion. 22.01.2022 Pearson strong at Murray Bridge IT may have been a nine hour journey from Cameron Pearson's home in Victoria to Murray Bridge in South Australia, but it was worth it as the pilot of the V10 Late Model put on a strong performance on Saturday night. Pearson claimed the chequered flag in both of his heat races and said his car felt good from the start. ... "It was awesome throughout the heats and felt good for the final," Pearson said. Pearson started from Pole for the feature and elected to go with a harder tyre which didn't fire as early as planned. This caused him to drop back behind Mark McCarthy, who would eventually win the final. "He drove awesome and a credit to him and his team on the win," Pearson said. Pearson said it felt great to be back in the drivers seat, especially as he didn't expect to be racing at all this year. "Luckily I got the car prepared after work and on the weekends while in lockdown so when restrictions eased we were ready to go," he added. With Pearson back on track this coming Saturday night at Mount Gambier, his clean run last night means the car is undamaged and minimal work is required for the turn around. Pearson thanks the following sponsors for their support: Booth, Tritech Lubricants, Case Construction Vic, Pirtek Bayswater, Ty Twarog Racing, XR1 Rocket Chassis, Fast Freddies Tyre Service, Andy Durham Racing Engines, Accuforce, HDD Racing and Highside Promotion. with thanks once again to Linda Savage of Savage Shots Photography.
