10.01.2022 Last night Nesher, our Chavat Oz participants, ran a seder for our bogrimot and year 11s and 12s in Ogen and Eyal Over dinner we discussed freedom and Zionism, exploring different social justice issues relevant to our lives and today’s world We placed an orange on the seder plate to recognise marginalised Jews in our community and an ice block to spark conversation about climate change We finished off the night searching for the afikoman hidden in habo house Thank you Nesher for organising such an interesting and fun night for us

07.01.2022 Over the weekend, 11 Ogen chanichimot had their second hadracha seminar! On the seminar, they learnt about being a madatz including how to write a peulah, how to work well together in a tzevet, and some fun little extras. As a group, they had the opportunity to bond and create expectations for the year to come. They left on a high note, looking forward to an exciting year of leading. We know Ogen will be incredible madatzimot!

02.01.2022 Over the last few days, our madrichimot (madatzimot and bogrimot) have been partaking in a seminar full of kef, bonding and education. The unfortunate cancellation of our camp provided us with a classic opportunity of turning something out of our control into a positive opportunity which we collectively grew from. We apologise to all of our chanichimot who were very much excited for camp as much as we were, and who didn’t get a chance to come on camp because it was cancelled.... We thank you guys for all of your support and understanding. We love and appreciate you all. This is even more of a reason to look forward to our year ahead and future camps together! In conjunction with a peulah that was run for us on the movement in times of crisis, we were reminded of how important youth movements are for our community, providing a network and safe space for our chanichimot. We want to let you know that all of our madrichimot are there for anyone in the movement and feel free to reach out to us! We hope to continue (in the ways we can) to be a supportive and consistent space for our members. Aleh Vehagshem

01.01.2022 What’s happening these Jewish holidays?! This Sunday we’ll be hosting a senior Rosh Hashana event at 2:30-4:30!! Then on Tuesday the 29th of September we’ll be building a sukkah at habo house! This sukkot event is open to the whole community so we’d love to see you all there! Also come along to @ayelet_sydney who are hosting an online Rosh Hashana service (Friday the 18th - at 6:00-7:00) as well as a Yom Kippur service (Monday the 28th at 11:00-12:30)
