We have successfully completed horizontal drilling campaigns all throughout Australia, in almost every type of open cut mine. The success of depressurization drilling has been measured in many different ways, not just flow rates from holes. Pore pressure reduction has been measured by installing horizontal vibrating wire piezometers. Radar and prism monitoring of slopes before and after drilling, has shown a definitive decrease in movement. Reduction or elimination of seepage from mine walls, diverted into horizontal holes, managed at the collar.
