21.01.2022 Definitely worth the read for your safety if you are towing a caravan. Stay safe people. :-)

15.01.2022 An email I received this morning from a Police Officer in the US. It's great to know that after 20 years my message is still getting out there globally. This makes it all worthwhile. Have a safe week people and remember to "Turn 'Em On 24/7" Lynette, Hello from Jacksonville, Florida. We were having a discussion about ‘Having your lights on at all times while driving’ and a co-worker came across your site.... We at the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office have purchased a new fleet of Ford Taurus and Ford Explorer’s for our police fleet. The Ford Police packages do not have DLR’s or ‘auto headlight on’ therefore we are experiencing a lot of officers driving without lights in low visibility and poor weather conditions as the officers had/have not trained themselves to ‘always turn their headlights on.’ Our previous Chevrolet fleet had ‘auto headlights’ which for the most part rectified the untrained officers. We are trying to encourage our officers to be cognizant of making sure their headlights are on as this was/is a problem for roadway/Officer Safety. Having grown up a majority of my life in Florida I grew up with a highway safety conscious, Governor Claude Kirk during the 70’s with his ‘Arrive Alive’ campaign all across Florida. One of the key points was to be visible via the usage of headlights (Always on). Many of Florida’s roads were two lane, the US Interstate was not even totally completed (I-95/I-10. And I-75 was not even thought of at the time). The two lane roads created dangerous ‘pulling out to pass’ situations with cars at dusk/dawn, poor weather etc. not using lights. The non use of headlights has always been a pet peeve of mine. So, I say all that to applaud you on your efforts. Best to you in keeping Australia safe, Jim Police Officer James Jim N.
