19.01.2022 The The Terry Campese Foundation is supporting Goulburn Mulwaree Council’s Youth Mentoring Program to raise funds for a Northern Territory Larapinta Trek in Jun...e/July 2021. The Youth Mentoring Program has been developed to support and help grow our local youth to become leaders and mentors for their peers within school, homes, streets and the community as a whole. Creating change for the better is more powerful and meaningful if it is driven by young people as they will take ownership and follow through. Council invites you to join in this important fundraising initiative and help change young people’s lives for the better. All money raised stays in the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government Area to support our young people. Please refer to the ‘GoulburnTrek4Change’ link below to participate. It’s free to join and is a great way to get outdoors, explore the Goulburn area and gain some fitness at the same time. Participants can enter as individuals or teams or why not join your whole family up! Happy Trekking everyone!! https://www.mycause.com.au/events/goulburntrek4change

15.01.2022 Our local - Federal Minister Angus Taylor visited the headspace Goulburn office this morning. He was a key part of getting funding for a headspace in Goulburn 4 years ago. Pictured with the Minister is Gail Davies (front) headspace Goulburn Service Manager and Georgia (back) our lovely receptionist! Through the wonders of video technology, CEO Ron de Jongh Grand Pacific Health the headspace lead agency and Jenny Valdivia Youth Mental Health Manager were able to join us to discuss the growth of the service which now includes a GP, Family Clinician and a Dietitian. We were able to catch-up with the Minister about the challenges for mental health in rural communities and the impacts of COVID-19 that we are seeing first hand.
