Many local organisations came together to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community as well as people looking for information about mental health services. The march across Forgan bridge was well attended and enjoyed. headspace Mackay is looking forward to supporting more Pride events in the future. 09.01.2022 We turned up to see country families from cattle and cane properties far and wide driving in to attend a youth get together. 20 young people 12 16 years of age were engaged and excited to see each other. Most of these young people are isolated, but every second Friday night, they come together, break out the BBQ and catch up.

05.01.2022 Last Thursday, 8th Oct, headspace Mackay celebrated headspace Day by giving young people in the Mackay Region free movie passes for 'Bill and Ted: Face the Musi...c'. 04.01.2022 We were very fortunate to have been invited to take part in the NAIDOC Celebrations in Sarina yesterday. As we edge closer to having our headspace Sarina Satellite up and running in the new year, this was a great opportunity to meet more of the community and other service providers. headspace Sarina is proud to partner with Mudth-Niyleta and is looking forward to building strong connections with our First Nation’s People. Along with our headspace service, we were able to showcase the wonderful and varied services also offered by NAPHL (Northern Australia Primary Health Limited) and ITC (Integrated Team Care).
