24.01.2022 Can you participate in research on conflict and resilience in parent-adolescent relationships? You may be eligible if: You are a parent/guardian of an adolescent child You are a young person/adolescent aged 10 - 19... Fluent in written and spoken English and currently living in Australia What does it mean to participate: 1. Complete a 10-min online survey and a 1.5 hour online interview 2. The online interview will be conducted by Imogen Frazer who is the student researcher on this project. Imogen will ask you questions about your perspective and experiences of conflict and resilience in parent-adolescent relationships, and any impacts COVID-19 has had on your parent-adolescent relationship. When and where: The survey and interview are both completed online at a time/date that suits you. You can complete the survey and interview on your phone, tablet or computer. Why: We are trying to improve the current understanding of conflict and resilience in parent-adolescent relationships and understand the impact of COVID-19 on parent-adolescent relationships. Currently, there is limited Australian research on this topic, and lot of the research that has been done is outdated This research project will hopefully help people who are working with parents and adolescents to better understand conflict and resilience in parent-adolescent relationships If you are interested in being involved, get in touch with Imogen Frazer on [email protected] This project (20201432-4504) has been approved by or on behalf of Swinburnes Human Research Ethics Committee (SUHREC) in line with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research. If you have any concerns or complaints about the conduct of this project, you can contact: Research Ethics Officer, Swinburne Research (H68)

20.01.2022 Ever wondered how alcohol affects your mental health? Because alcohol is a depressant, it slows your body down and changes the chemical makeup in your brain. This has many effects. It can alter:... mood energy levels sleeping patterns concentration memory and many other things Its normal to want to be part of a group and often drinking can be a big part of socialising. But if you dont want to drink, or have that one more, you shouldnt have to. Its a good idea to have a chat to a general practitioner (GP) to discuss the safest way of cutting down on your drinking.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with us on (07) 33700 3900.
