17.01.2022 Meet the team Meet Courtney from our IPS team Pronouns: she/her ... Courtney, tell me about yourself? I am the local one of the team. I was born in the Numurkah hospital and have lived in the GV pretty much since. I am the better half of the IPS team, my role helps bridge the gap between Youth, Mental Health and Vocational Goals. What is your favourite food? Ok, go grab a drink and settle in, this isn’t a simple one word answer. When going out for dinner I love a good Italian Restaurant. Weekends with friends I cant go past a good grazing platter. Summer is about the salads, if you have any good recipes send them thru Winter is the season that touches my soul, my Mum makes the best Red Lentil Soup (hint hint Mum) add some crusty bread, layer it with butter and VOILA perfection. Food brings people together and I love nothing more than good company, food and a good laugh. A fun fact about yourself? My favourite season is winter. I love being wrapped up in a blanket, listening to the rain and drinking a cup of tea and maybe catching up on some tv welcoming tv series recommendation. What inspires you in working with young people at headspace? Some people just need one person to believe in them, to make such a difference in their life. Working with young people keeps me real and young. I find it empowering and life changing to see the key changes we can support young people through here at headspace. Courtney is the funniest person in the building! (she literally made us write that)... but in all honesty, she actually is she has a wicked sense of humor and we have a hard time getting her to be quiet. Courtney is a vital part of our headspace team, she is open, approachable, compassionate and non-judgmental. Courtney goes above and beyond her role and is one fierce advocate! If you would like to know more about our IPS team at headspace Shepparton contact Courtney or Brett on 58238800
