19.01.2022 It is with much disappointment that we announce that Festivale 2021 will not proceed in the format or venue that has been so well accepted and embraced for many... years. Due to the unprecedented uncertainty caused by COVID-19, the ongoing restrictions for public gatherings, health concerns and travel, The Launceston Festivale committee have exhausted all options to move ahead as originally hoped. This decision has not been made lightly and after consultation with The Dept of Public Health, Government and our sponsors, our focus must remain on the health and wellbeing of the public as well as the ongoing sustainability of Festivale. We find ourselves very fortunate to have been able to hold our 2020 event as many of our festival friends were not so lucky. So whilst Festivale 2021 will not be held, the organising committee, together with the Dept of State Growth (Events Tasmania division), are exploring options to bring you an alternate event on the same weekend as Festivale 2021 was to be held that will be smaller and adhere to current health guidelines. We will continue to keep you updated as we plan for 2021 and hope you will support our alternate event, in its one-off location and format. We also look forward to seeing you all for an EPIC Festivale in 2022! The Launceston Festivale Committee

19.01.2022 Good bye Launceston! Everything is official, everything is done. We are moving on from being cafe proprietors and slowing things down a bit in our lives. We ha...ve no plans in the making at the moment but you never know what the future holds or what could ignite inspiration down the track. I would like to thank everyone who walked through the doors over the last five years, locals & tourists alike. You are the people who could see we were trying something a bit different in our attempt to ignite a bit of a spark in Launceston’s dining scene and also to show it is extremely possible to only use the highest quality produce we have so near at hand in this state. Thank you as well to our glorious staff. Your professionalism, passion and attitude truly made Bryher Bryher. We feel very fortunate to have worked alongside such wonderful people over the years. I would also like to thank our suppliers and we certainly have many! It was such an honour to use the results of your hard work and we hope that we did it some justice to showcase it’s marvellous quality. We have lived in Launceston for five years now (ex Hobart, Tarraleah and before that Wollongong) and we believe it is one of the greatest places in the world. We have made many friends here and have no plans on leaving yet! Stay in touch everyone! Byeeeeeeeee.

13.01.2022 The two families of Goaty Hill wines would like to announce we have sold our vineyard and business of 20 years. "Tony, Natasha, Kristine and I, are moving on to... spend more time with our children and explore other passions and opportunities. We are all looking forward to a well-earned break, before making plans to travel in the near future and spending some time house-renovating. Our property has been purchased by a West Australian company that also has a vineyard in another world-class grape growing region; Margaret River. We will continue to operate on a ‘business as usual’ approach. We are advising and consulting with the new owners during this integrated transition period and we hope the local community will continue to be a part of the Goaty Hill journey. We would like to express our overwhelming gratitude to our loyal customers and friends of Goaty Hill for their support, and we hope to see you all at the vineyard before we depart". Markus
