14.01.2022 Today we celebrated the incredible contribution of Glenn Kimm to Headway. He started as a social support group coordinator at Drouin in 1999 and later moved over to Morwell where he stayed until his retirement. I’ve had so many memorable times, those memories will stick with me until the day I die."... He wished to thank Headway for its support, in particular Dianne Mumford, and all the volunteers, including John Gatt and assistant coordinator Amparo Miller. Thank-you Glenn for your amazing service to the organisation. You will be missed! Read more in Headway's upcoming newsletter.

08.01.2022 The story of Morwell musician Ned Branchi is one of incredible resilience. The dynamic performer who has supported massive bands like Midnight Oil and Hunters & Collectors would one day be unable to strum his guitar when he lost his leg and shoulder in a motorbike accident. But his determination to keep at his craft has him performing once again.... The struggles that people with disabilities have to face are just immense and you won’t hear about them that much because few of us will complain." https://headwaygippsland.org.au//morwell-muso-ned-branchi/

06.01.2022 Make sure you grab a copy of the Gazette if you're in the Warragul area. Keryn is on the back page!!

05.01.2022 Amazing generosity of 'secret Santa' made the day for Baw Baw Buddies On Friday, the Warragul social support group's final morning tea before Christmas was extra special when an anonymous customer paid for a surprise plate of biscuits to be delivered to their table. The group managed to track down the 'secret Santa', to discover it was their fellow patron named Sonia.... Steve thanked Sonia on behalf of the group for making their day with her generous and unexpected pay-it-forward gesture. She happened to be a photographer and spent time with the group taking photos. Here you can see her beautiful Christmas collage of some of the group members. A massive thank-you to Sonia for your goodwill. What an uplifting way to close a challenging year!
