25.01.2022 Just to let you all know that the High school has now also banned any use of its facilities by outside groups and clubs both during and after school hours. The pool is still open as it is run by the high school. Amend that the pool is now closed until after Easter.

22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, You can now click on the link to register for the 2020 Winter season. I have not created age groups. The rego form you gave Deb, she will put you into teams from that. Click on 'Monday Unspecified Mixed All Ages' to register your child.

22.01.2022 We are still wanting a fourth team for our men’s comp. if you would like to play but don’t have a full team just comment below and we will see if we can get a team together. If you have a team that’s great. We have room for 2 teams to enter the comp.

10.01.2022 Hi all, firstly we hope everyone is surviving this COVID-19 isolation, especially all the mums and dads home schooling. Fingers crossed we are on our way out of all this. Well our plans for a registration and return your singlet night hasn’t and won’t be happening. So please keep your singlets in a safe place. As for a return to playing, who knows. I personally don’t think it will be until next year. We will keep you all posted. Stay safe, do the right thing and let’s get our lives back

08.01.2022 Ok. Registration are open for our winter season starting in term 2. Things are a little different this time. Every player much register on line with basketball VICTORIA. This is only done once and allows that player to play at any association. It is $25 for a years, so two seasons the winter and next summer. Previously we have collected it and forwarded it on. You are also required to pay club and association fees which are also collected by BV and they then send it back. We ...have chosen not to do the club/ass fees that way and they are still required to be paid at our office. We previously charged $25 per player per season but as we no longer need to collect BVs fee our registration fee will drop to $15.00 per player per season. It does mean an increase of $2.50 a season. Some people have already registered with other clubs/ass but ours doesn’t seem to be open yet.?? I will share the link shortly. Our association name is HMDBA Healesville Mountain district basketball association Club name is Healesville Hornets basketball club.

06.01.2022 Ok so had a few people tell us that there is a lot of different things going on next Monday night and that their children won’t be able to play. Could you please comment below if this applies to your child so we can see if we will have enough kids to run the round. Thanks and please share.

05.01.2022 Basketball Victoria has introduced a new on line registration system for all future registrations. which every player wishing to play must do. We are still in the process of learning it ourselves so stay tuned for more information.

05.01.2022 ok so l have had a bit of interest from couples and individuals who are keen for a fun game of basketball but are unable to get enough players for a team. So we are putting it out there if you are interested just turn up at 7.30 Monday the 28th at Healesville high school, entry is from behind the indoor pool. Teams made up on the night and change weekly. No ladder or finals. Black shorts or leggings ladies, black tops and of course some runners. Come and try, make some new friends or catch up with some old one. First 2 weeks are on us. Anyone any level welcome, but remember it’s for fun and social.

04.01.2022 Dear member, We wish to and are sorry to advise that we have been contacted by our governing body Basketball Victoria to cancel all games until further notice. As we only had 2 weeks of finals left a decision on what to do will be made at a later date when we resume. Once again we a extremely sorry and will keep you posted.

03.01.2022 Just to let you know as we have had a few parents asking about team changes due to team not being of equal standards. We will be making changes to a few teams. And also to let you know how hard it is to put these teams together especially when you don’t have any parents turn up who know the kids to help. You have siblings that need to play together so parents can watch both kids, kids that rely on lifts from others, first timers being placed with somebody they know, how tall how short, how old how young, dribblers non dribblers, fast slow. It’s not an easy job and l would like to again thank the 3 people who did take the time to put these teams together and those that have helped out in previous seasons.

02.01.2022 Well we did have hopes of getting back into it in term 3 but unfortunately this won’t be happening. Fingers crossed for our new summer season in term 4. Towards the end of term 3 all being good we will have a couple of registration and singlet return nights so please keep an eye out for them. In the meantime please everyone do the right thing and stay safe
