25.01.2022 Hi everyone, A very long time between posts, my apologies. Like many of you, the covid-19 situation has been tricky and home schooling has taken up much of my time. I hope you are all coping and in good spirits still. With restrictions recently eased somewhat, Dru and I are beginning to see a timeline for restarting classes emerge. We will be listening in on an important Webinar with Gymnastics Australia today to learn more about our obligations and restrictions. As you know,... gymnastics/kindergym classes presents all manner of problems with trying to enforce safe distancing, sterilising surfaces between contact, minimising numbers, while still being able to cover costs. Hopefully today we will have things a bit more clarified and be able to give you all more absolute information on start back and what it will look like. Thanks to you all for your patience. Looking forward to getting back to some sort of normality soon. Cheers, Milli Troon

25.01.2022 Gymnastics classes will start officially from Monday Feb 10th. Looking forward to seeing you back for some fun and skill learning. Cheers, Milli

24.01.2022 Gymnastics classes begin tonight......look forward to seeing you all.

22.01.2022 Dru and I have been in touch with the Healesville High School regarding the proposed date for re-opening of the Community Centre to outside users. We were hopeful of being able to restart at the beginning of Term 3. However, the High School is not yet able to confirm with any certainty that this can happen. With the new spike in Victorian cases recently, we may have to be prepared for further delay unfortunately. Will post more news when I have it. Sorry guys, what a drag! Coach Milli

21.01.2022 Our In-Club Comp was a great success on Sunday with 16 gymnasts participating and showing off their skills in front of an audience. Well done to everyone. It can be a bit nerve racking for some and overwhelmingly exciting for others. I saw some terrific beam skills while I was judging and was especially impressed with beam mounts (getting on). If you'd like to check out scores and placings, head to the following link on the webpage. https://healesvillegymnasticscentre.weebly....com/competition- Special thanks to judges, scorers, runners, assistants and those parents who helped us put chairs away. This day couldn't run efficiently without your help!!!! Cheers, Milli Troon. Ps. Photos to come soon.

17.01.2022 Healesville Gymnastics Centre will be running a competition for its Gymnastics members on June 23rd at 1.30pm. A great chance to have a go at performing in front of an audience and everyone goes home with a medal. If your child is currently attending one of our classes and would like to be part of this, contact Dru Troon on 0438625221. We are often looking for the odd parent to be a scorer on the day. Scorers tally up the judges scores and help us determine placings for the competition. If you'd like to help, we'd love to hear from you.

15.01.2022 Gymnastics classes WILL proceed tomorrow (16th March 2020). Despite the severe precautionary measures being undertaken in relation to the coronavirus by some organisations, we feel a common sense approach is advisable. If you have cold or flu symptoms (cough, runny nose, fever, rash, sneezing etc), have recently travelled overseas to an at risk area, have been in contact with an infected person; please refrain from attending, advise us if you fall into any of these categories... now or in the immediate future. Ensure that you continue to practise good hygiene (eg. washing hands, using tissues and hand sanitiser which I will keep on the table for general use). Healesville Gymnastics Centre will keep you up to date with any further developments. At this stage, we will follow any recommendations given to schools (who deal with similar sized groups of children). Let's hope this is a case of mass hysteria and it will blow over before too long. Don't hesitate to contact myself or Dru if you have any questions. Milli Troon [email protected] 0408811874 Dru Troon [email protected] 0438625221 Thanks, Milli.

13.01.2022 Healesville Gymnastics Centre is conducting a 4 week program at Healesville Primary School using equipment from the schools very own storeroom. The kids are having a ball. Already, I've seen some children pushing outside their comfort zones, learning new skills. As a coach, I'm loving this challenge. If your child's school is interested in running a Gymnastics program, please drop me a line. I can see myself doing this again!!!!!

08.01.2022 Update: As of this morning, we have been advised by Healesville High School that the Community Centre will be closed beginning tomorrow (Tues 17th March). Tonight's will proceed as normal. Classes from Tues 17th until the end of Term 1 will unfortunately be cancelled. We understand that many of you have paid fees for the full term in advance. Please be patient while we work towards a solution for compensation of missed classes. As you all know, this is a very unusual community situation to work through. In the meantime, stay happy and healthy. More information coming soon............apologies for inconvenience and any confusion. Regards, Milli Troon

07.01.2022 Fantastic news.................Dru Troon, head Gymnastics Coach at Healesville Gymnastics Centre has received some recogition for her dedicated work in the Gymnastics community. Well done Dru, very much deserved. She was also recently nominated for the 2019 Victorian Senior of the Year Awards. Check out this link to see just how much she's done: http://www.gymnasticsvictoria.org.au//Hero_of_the_Month_-_

06.01.2022 A little late to post this, but Healesville Gymnastics Centre had the beam crashmat re-covered during the Christmas break (as it had a terrible tear in it). This cost a total of $350 and was funded by the equipment levy money provided by our parents. Thank you!

03.01.2022 Monday night seniors had a lovely presentation night. Parents and family came to watch them perform some of the skills they have learnt throughout the year. You all did a wonderful job displaying yourselves in front of an audience (which can be a bit nerve wracking!!!!)
