21.01.2022 Healing Touch level 1 class in Cairns North Queensland last weekend. What a warm friendly bunch of students and the wonderful instructor Kay Michaels hosting me as the Instructor in Training.
19.01.2022 Four Certified Healing Touch Practitioners have landed in W.A.and another three on the Eastern seaboard! After being up in the air waiting for approval from the panel of examiners in the USA, the news that we all 'passed' was a cause for celebration, Our Certificates and badges are on the way to Oz and preparations for the 'pinning' ceremony is underway. Thanks to our Instructor Dr. Rosalie Van Aken and mentor Christine McGillivray for their encouragement and support. Participants report that the process to attain Certification is a spiritual and academic commitment and a wonderful journey.
19.01.2022 Level 5 students completing the coursework at the St John of God Retreat Centre in Rockingham W.A. at the end of March. A memorable 3 days guided by our Instructor Dr. Rosalie Van Aken (seated). Three participants from Eastern States students updated us on Healing Touch events in Queensland and Victoria.
17.01.2022 Lots of sausages were flying around during our very successful fundraiser at the Armadale Bunnings last month. It's taken us some time to recover!! Special thanks to Christine and Bill McGillivray and Laughlan their grandson. Ainslie enjoyed counting the money too. Jane Mieklam and Anna Nolan were happy to see the HTWAInc. banner launched that day. Dr Rosalie van Aken supported us all throughout the day with bread rolls ready for willing customers. To the many supporters on the day a big thanks from all the HT Council.
17.01.2022 The first Healing Touch Level One Instructor's Course held in WesternAustralia at Shoalwater near Rockingham W.A. was a great success with fun friendship and of course learning. Five fantastic women, one phenomenal Instructor (Dr. Rosalie Van Aken) and a Glorious Assistant (Christine McGillivray). Currently we have five Instructors in Australia: Rosalie in Perth, Susan Ashton, Veronica Oliver on the Sunshine Coast Queensland, Kay Michaels in Cairns and Mary Alford in Mereebra, Queensland. After their assignments are completed and Certified by Healing Beyond Boarders in the U.S., the new Instructors in Perth will be Anna Nolan in the Perth Hills (Serpentine), Claire Barendrecht in Fremantle and Ainslie Allison Northern Suburbs. Michelle Henderson in Ballarat, Victoria and Dr. Sandi Smith in Northern N.S.W.
17.01.2022 It's inspiring to be reminded of the gifts we have as Healing Touch Practitioners.
16.01.2022 Happy New Year to all the HT community, 2019 is the year for expansion.
15.01.2022 Wouldn't it be great to see Healing Touch in our hospitals, Aged Care Facilities and Wellness clinics? What can we do to get this wonderful treatment out there?
13.01.2022 Over the weekend I taught a successful unit 1 class at Charlies, 6 students who all enjoyed learning Healing Touch . I forgot to take any photos sorry

12.01.2022 What ... where's the photos?? Bill McGillivray and Nicholas Gadsby were sizzling as they bbq'd hundreds of sausages. Some were proud that they had devoted themselves to the cause and others were too shy to admit they had eaten many and tried to hide behind the evidence. She shall be nameless!!!
11.01.2022 Healing Touch Practitioners were very busy too and happy to be volunteers again for the second year. We treated 50 guests mainly for back pain, shoulder and neck tension and headaches. We join in saying a very big thank you and congratulations to all for making Homeless Connect a fabulous day and great success for the homeless i our community. On the day:... a number of service providers verbally reporting seeing more than 200 guests; guests were lining up from 7.00am to see the Mobile GP doctors; there was an overwhelming flood of guests seeing the optometrists; there was a larger number of guests than in previous years through the donations shop over 1,000; the amazing hair-dresser team gave well over 200 haircuts and could have worked another hour, with one guest stating after he received a haircut that he, felt like a million dollar man"; an increase in the number of guests seeking dental assistance with two guests who had been suffering bad tooth ache for many months, coming out of the dentist vans after teeth extractions with huge smiles, mouths packed with wadding and saying thanks for having, no more pain; over 900 roast beef and vegetable meals, with apple crumble and cream meals served as desert; over 1,200 fresh orange juices were served; over 700 bacon and egg rolls served by the Rotary Club; and one guest burst into tears when offered a hug saying that he had not received a hug from anyone in nearly 20 years our fabulous volunteer gave him a big, big hug. We would be very grateful if you would be able to give us some feedback on the day such as: Is there anything that we can do better next time to assist you in your work on the day; and Are there any stories that you would like to share with Volunteering WA. Many thanks for your caring and for your work! We will let you know when the day is on next year as soon as a date has been finalised, and hope that you will be able to join us again. Best wishes Joanne Joanne Pollard Volunteering WA - Homeless Connect Team City West Lotteries House 2 Delhi Street West Perth WA 6005 E: [email protected] T: 9482 4333 M: 0407 195 555

06.01.2022 Strategic Planning March 2015
06.01.2022 After a frantic 2015, the committee have had a well earned rest and are now ready to contribute and hopefully inspire the Healing Touch Community. Our first event is the Retreat at St John of God retreat centre in Shoalwater, W.A. The event will be held on the 15th to 17th April. Part of this will be the Ordinary General Meeting on Sunday at 0930 with a guest speaker.
05.01.2022 Graduating Healing Touch Practitioners. Seven students successfully became Certified Healing Touch Practitioners in November. Two were from the Eastern States and joined four from W.A. in the first Level 5 class in Perth since 2005!. (See previous Posts) It takes patience, determination, skill, knowledge, commitment to personal growth, self-understanding, integration of multi-level learning and maturing to name but a few requirements to achieve Certification. The rewards are... many along the way and we all experienced the sacredness of the work, its inspiration and renewal, its beauty and grace. Therefore the Graduation Ceremony on Sunday 30 November was a celebration of many years of study and practical application of the scientific theory and practical demonstrations of the interventions required to become Certified. Achieving the acknowledgement from our International body, Healing Beyond Boarders (http://www.healingtouchinternational.org,) by sending beautiful certificates and badges made it all very real. The five Graduating students expressed their deep appreciation and thanks to their Instructor and Mentor, Dr. Rosalie Van Aken, and Coordinator /Mentor, Christine McGillivray for getting them through the process. Equally to their families, friends and supporters, Thank You. We also celebrated Glen's 80th birthday on that day! Massive achievement Glen, congratulations from all of us.

Healing Touch Western Australia were very proud to be invited to participate. Thanks to Bridgette (in the teal shirt), Christine, Ainslie, Alison, Gen (pictured with Brigitte Nyenhuis )and Anna Nolan with her trusty camera who took the photos.

02.01.2022 An interesting day at Homeless Connect last Wednesday, room was sunny and peaceful, the comment was that this was the most peaceful room there. Many of the visitors required back treatments which is not surprising given their circumstances. A tiring but enjoyable day.
01.01.2022 On Wednesday 12 November Healing Touch Practitioners will be at Russell Square Northbridge volunteering their skills and time. For the past two years we have made a positive difference to the lives of homeless people in our community. Come and say hello!! What is Homeless Connect?... The Homeless Connect project is about providing a one stop shop of essential and ongoing services to homeless persons or those at risk of homelessness by bringing together community groups, businesses and the three tiers of Government. Homeless Connect Perth is based on the one-stop-shop model of service provision to homeless people that was developed in San Francisco in 2004. Homeless connect events are now being held in over 220 cities across the United States, Canada and Australia (Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart, Gold Coast). Brisbane City Council piloted Homeless Connect in November 2006 for the first time in Australia. Homeless Connect Australia, an initiative of the Council of Capital City Lord Mayors, has been established to give every City, Town and Community the opportunity to join the Homeless Connect Australia Program and work to helping the homeless take a step on the path out of homelessness. The City of Perth has now run successfully 7 homeless connect projects in partnership with Volunteering WA, the first being in November 2008. The most recent Homeless Connect Perth event was on Wednesday, 13 November 2013. Thank you to all the supporters of this successful event.
01.01.2022 If you interested in learning about treating friends and family with energy and the theory about those treatments, we are having a unit 1 class on the 2nd and 3rd of March at Solariscare SCGH. If you are interested go to our website and find out more.
01.01.2022 Rain could not dampen the resolve of the WA Healing Touch volunteers to make the Sausage Sizzle a success last Saturday. Although the weather kept many customers away from Bunnings, the ones that did venture out supported our Team bravely sizzling sausages whilst trying to keep the bread rolls and themselves dry. How many kilos of onions do you think we cooked up? Check out the photos and have a guess!
