The classes are perfect for even the hottest of summer days. Whether you come along to a morning or evening class, there is plenty of shade to protect you from the heat. The classes are open to individuals of all fitness levels as each exercise can be adapted, & you can do as many or as little reps as you would like. Each class i...s 1- hour (including a 7-min warm-up & 10-min cooldown). We place a strong emphasis on technique rather than how many reps you can do. It's essential to focus on getting the exercise right over concentrating on the number of reps. Classes will run as usual over the holidays. This week 50% of all proceeds will go to the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund which provides financial assistance for those impacted by the Wooroloo fires. The classes are open to individuals of all fitness levels as each exercise can be adapted, & you can do as many or as little reps as you would like. Each class is 1- hour (including a 7-mi...n warm-up & 10-min cooldown). We place a strong emphasis on technique rather than how many reps you can do or how much weight you can lift. 03.01.2022 Hey everyone Pictured are a few variations of an exercise which targets the triceps. I love this exercise because you can do it anywhere. I encourage you to start at variation 1, nail that, increase the duration (e.g. 30 seconds to 45 seconds), and then proceed to the next level. Below are a few cues that should ensure you are in the right position and exercising the correct muscles.... Variation 1 1) Engage abs (gently squeeze ribs down to the hips, hips up to the ribs and both hips towards each other). 2) Feet roughly shoulder-width apart 3) Maintain a neutral position at the head and neck 4) Flare your chest up or gently squeeze the shoulder blades together. Feel open between the shoulders, the opposite feeling of sending a text or sitting at a computer all day. 5) Avoid the shoulders shrugging towards the ears, gently draw them down 6) Keep the elbows close to the body 7) Inhale as you go down and exhale as you drive up 8)Hold at the bottom of the range for one second 9) Avoid locking out the elbow joints at the top of the range. However, you can drive up a little more than where I am in the picture 10) If you want a little more, go down slower or raise one leg Variation 2 1) Follow all of the above cues 2) Extend both the feet away from the body 3) If you want a little more, go down slower.
