24.01.2022 Did you know that red vegetables and fruits contain a number of antioxidants, including lycopene (tomatoes), anthocyanins (red berries) and ellagic acid (strawberries, raspberries and pomegranate). Lycopene is a pretty powerful antioxidant that can help reduce the risk of cancer and protect against heart disease. Give colour a spin next time you shop, and select your fresh produce from all the colours of the rainbow it will increase the variety of foods you eat, so your body gets all the essential nutrients it needs. 13.01.2022 Meet Mandy, shes a proud Queensland Strawberry farmer from Wamuran, QLD. Passionate about health, Mandy was inspired to find a solution to the problem of fresh fruit waste and to create healthy strawberry snack products free from sugar and preservatives. We are family owned and run farm, and our strawberries are enjoyed all around the state. ... With 2020 looking a little different, like everyone else she has had to adapt. We had to diversify our farm to grow herbs as well as natives like finger limes, but strawberries remain our number one passion. We also changed our fruit picking tours to enable small groups to enjoy the farm firsthand its been a welcome change as we love getting to know our customers.
