21.01.2022 **August 2020 Update** After a crazy 2020 so far with our move, the lockdown and everything that goes with that, weve been re-assessing how we can best help our clients reach their goals. Over the 17 years we have been in business, we are extremely fortunate to have the majority of our amazing clients work with us for up to 5, 10, 15 and even the full 17 years! ... This long time period requires different types of exercises as physical abilities change - from - * general strength and fitness, * injury prevention and recovery * illness/surgery Pre-hab and Re-hab as well as; * maintenance of mobility and movement. Subsequently we have developed our own training system (Mobility, Movement, Motion) that we apply to every aspect of our training to ensure consistency and predictable results for our clients. It is especially useful with our Pre-hab and Re-hab programs. Last year we updated our business name to signify our future direction by adding FITNESS and REHABILITATION. Thus, our current and future direction for helping clients lies in the following: FITNESS General fitness training, all ages through one-on-one and small group Personal Training through to our Group based Classes such as MORNING CIRCUIT and our BOX-FIT classes. All these sessions utilise our experience and knowledge to improve strength and fitness but also to prevent future injury and to integrate a clients individual needs. 12.01.2022 LET'S GET 2021 STARTED! Hi All For those we haven’t seen or spoken to you yet . . .we hope you had a great Xmas and New Year’s break.... Obviously we have now experienced a bit of a hiccup with the lockdown over the weekend, but as of tomorrow we are back in action!! We are awaiting any further information from Fitness Australia in regards to wearing masks for small studio’s but safe to say we fall under the gym title and thus masks will be required to be worn in the studio during your sessions for the next 10 days. We understand this may be a little odd considering many of you train with us to up your heart rate and thus breathing and you may feel affected by the wearing of a mask. Please discuss this with us personally if you have any issues. Apart from that, we will continue all previous pre-cautions such as limiting numbers in studio, hand sanitiser on entry and within studio, social distancing and preventing those who are or have been sick from entering. The good news is we have been here before and we all know what to do. Please note, at this stage BOX-FIT will NOT commence until Saturday 23rd January. We will contact you all individually to get your sessions booked in and address any concerns you may have. Let’s get back to normal and make 2021 an amazing year for your health and fitness!!

12.01.2022 Happy New Year Everyone!! We hope you are all having a fantastic holiday period. Just a quick update on the new studio. We had originally hoped to be open on Monday 6th January for one on one clients and 13th January for full re-opening. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the holiday period means we have had to wait for a few items to be finished for us. So at this stage we are going to open this Wednesday 8th January. It will be for one-on-one clients only for this week. We will personally contact everyone by phone that needs to be contacted in regards to this and booking in sessions. Later in the week we will also update the Group Fitness classes by email and our Facebook page. It is exciting to have somewhere new to train and we hope you all are just as excited!!

09.01.2022 SINGLE LEG STEP UP . . .... Step Ups are a great exercise to help support and build the muscles surrounding your knee and hip stabilisers. This movement also helps with balance and stability from your ankle, knee and hips. To perform this exercise simply find a step or small box, place your foot onto the stable service and drive through your heel and big toe so you are standing tall (bring hips forward). Swing the other leg up in front knee first. 08.01.2022 ALMOST!!, Well as a pleasant surprise today, it was announced that as of midday tomorrow we will be able to open again! This comes 2 weeks ahead of previously scheduled time-frames. As such, as excited as we are to re-open, we now need to fast track our re-opening plans and set-up a Covid-Safe studio for you all to enjoy. Whilst we had implemented all require precautions prior to lockdown, as luck would have it, we also suffered some flooding last week due to a fire hose va...lve busting in the stairwell, so theres that to sort out as well!! With such a sudden change to the situation, we are aiming for a Wednesday June 3rd re-opening at this stage. Due to this uncertainty, for this week, we are only open to current clients as we make sure our new operating practices are appropriate and effective. We will contact all clients individually to confirm. As of next week (June 8th) we will be close to fully operational, or at least have a much better idea of what we can and cant offer (Box-Fit may need some modifications). Thank you to everyone who has supported us during this time and we look forward to finally getting to build our amazing community once again in our new safe and clean studio. Health for Life Team.

04.01.2022 Yes we are now OPEN! After a clean up, and reset, our doors are open for all services. For the remainder of the week, we will remain open to current clients and from next week, we look forward to building our community further. We will be enforcing strict hygiene and health safety measures permanently and social distancing for as long as is required. 03.01.2022 Each week we will be providing you with a video on different body parts to help you understand the importance of our philosophy the MX3- Mobility, Movement & Motion. This weeks video is around Shoulder stability. This exercise is a simple movement which can be performed at home, all you need is a band. When performing this movement there are a few things you need to remember. Stand in an upright position with your arms out in front at a 90 degrees.... Keep shoulders back and down Lift arm in an upward movement keeping your elbows and wrist parallel. Continue as high as you can go without losing control of your shoulder blades. 01.01.2022 Well it appears there is light at the end of the tunnel. Quick update about the easing of restrictions as they apply to QLD. From: 15th MAY - Friday night this week, Outdoor Bootcamps and Group Fitness and Personal Training may be undertaken with a maximum of 10 people*... 12th JUNE Gyms and fitness centres/studios will be allowed to open with maximum 20 people* * Both of these require the standard social distancing rules (1.5m apart) and hygiene rules, respiratory hygiene and equipment cleaning/disinfecting. For our Group classes (Excluding Box-Fit until Studio re-opens), we will be in contact with you - re: the online training v outdoor training and for our Personal Training clients, we will also contact you individually to discuss our current options. At Health For Life, we know that once the studio opens, we will be able to maintain high levels of hygiene, as we were prior to lockdown, be able to prevent or restrict anyone who is sick from entering, be able to contact trace anyone and everyone who enters due to being a booking only facility and also we can strictly control the number of people in the studio at once. We are working hard to introduce some new initiatives to the studio to facilitate this even further and new training options that specifically integrate social distancing and hygiene practices.
