25.01.2022 Nothing haunts me more than this image ... Despite living this for now 13 years, banging my Tamborine, sharing our story & sharing tips to help prevent ... when I hear of News where families lives are changed forever because of drowning.. ... it hurts.. it cuts deep & it takes me back to my day when my life changed forever.. The day I’ll never forget ! The images I try so hard to erase .. The tears that well up! I feel like perhaps I haven’t relayed or shouted my story enough .. That .. Our incident wasn’t planned.. I was busy .. I assumed our pool gate would help prevent ... I thought I’d hear something! Wrong! Drowning doesn’t discriminate! It can happen to ANYONE!! 21.01.2022 #sharingiscaring We are running an incredible fundraising initiative also where we deliver the training & you receive a Nationally recognised First Aid Certificate for our normal prices... But ..... We donate a large portion to The Sanctuary Women, Children and Pet’s Refuge so we can put that towards purchase of a Defibrillator & First Aid supplies to keep the ladies safe! 13.01.2022 What a great interview carried out by a beautiful Mum who sadly had a similar incident as our life changing incident but sadly with a different outcome.. You can hear the emotion & passion in her voice as she shares to help others avoid! I teach all of my families that to carry out fully clothed swimming lessons to give them the experience, supervised, so if it ever did happen, at least it was a little more familiar to them.. ... I say that if Swim Schools do not allow it, just do it at home and also in a cold water pool.... You don’t want to make it scary but be there with them & teach them to roll onto their back so they float to the side.. I only wish I knew this & had carried this out with my baby as who knows he may have avoided having to had Cpr carried out to save his little life ? Great tips ! I'm finding this myself but if you really have something you truly believe in , why not give it a go, even if it requires some change ??? I went from a cushy career as an aircraft maintenance engineer for 17 years to what I do today ..
